I know there is still more power in this stock motor.
I'm sure going to higher lift cams (Tomei or Revolver).
A more progressive tune for WI, (mine's a compremize at the moment).
More porting of the turbo hotside and O2 housing.
Getting rid of the MAF with a standalone or MafT-pro.
Replace my IC pipe. I still have stock lower IC pipe.
I'm thinking the max power on stock eng/stock turbo (9.8) on 91 octane, no NOS (based off my last few runs on Mynes Mustang dyno), is 360-375hp/360-385 lb tq.
This power can get you in the 11's.

How's the project going? I know you're down to 12.7. Any new items to report?

i would recommend the Tomei 280's with 11.8 lift. those cams make the most topend power for evos period. the HKS 280's are 11.5 lift. if u can afford it, i would also order a Cosworth built head & then slap on a HKS Kansai Intake Manifold.

Thumbs up

i put old yeller back on the Mustang Dyno today at a shop's dyno day in Mesa. forgot the printout, but see the new power #'s in my sig! car still has no cams, no built head, no pistons, no rods, no head bolts, no clutch, & no front lsd yet.

the boost was 27psi. stock ignition system starts missing over that. i also need an igniton amp to run more boost...

yeah there are stock turbo cars that are faster than old yeller, but there will ALWAYS be somebody faster.

Very nice numbers for stock cams, that's with alcohol right?. Numbers in my sig are with stock turbo (plus 10.5) on a 93/104 mix (no alky) with GSC 264's and an N'tercooler sprayer on the stock intercooler for a little comparison.

Nope. no ALKY. just str8 Sunoco 104 with 27PSI. i did add a 10.5hotside. my old #'s b4 the hotside were 303whp/336tq on the same dyno. seems like you're losing torque. have u done your wastegate yet???????

Very nice #'s today housedj. It was fun to hang out for a bit with everyone. I want to start modding so bad, (and the mrs. said to order the cosworth head) but I know from experience (STi) once you start, it's never enough.

Hmmmm, This might be worth listen to after all. Ok, So If your planning Mid 11's on the stock turbo. than Whats your shopping list. I can see a small glimmer of hope with race gas. But im still lost on how you think that this is possible.

Not trying to doubt you i would just like an explanation. Seems interesting. Im subcribed.

teaser list:

built head, 280 cams with 11.8 or 12.2lift, cam gears, clutch, front lsd, pistons, rods.

this should give u some idea as to the path i'm headed down. my motor will be mostly built so when the stock turbo craps out, all i have to do is slap on a big turbo kit & fuel system to run 10's reliably.

That's a lot of lift. Just be sure to support it correctly you're going to damage the engine.
