long distance deals make sense, but i cant believe how many people are complaining when they are still selling for almost 2000 under invoice like it isnt a sale anymore, the mr msrp is over 36, and if you add in destination it brings it to over 37,

Maybe most people would not walk out on a deal over $20. I did and feel good about it. Maybe 32,999 is a great price for a MR, but do not be surprised when customers quit making long distance deals. I can not stand it when a dealer has you sitting down playing that four sqare game and telling you "it's only $20 more per month"
The only reason the EVO even sold this year was because of SC silly prices the last few month. The EVO always seems to sit on the lot forever until some type of incentive kicks in. Sat in 2003 until the end of year until they went down 3-4 grand. Last year they only sold because of 0%. If dealers think they can mark-up the EVO 3-4k they will sit again. If EVO production stopping in August is a reason for price gouging then Trade-in allowance should go up 1k.

This is for all you guy that got offended for being good stewards!!!
We're not having any trouble selling Evos, nor have we ever. I don't know who you are referring to about the cars sitting on the lot, but we are selling as many as we can get our hands on and we aren't having to lose $4k per car like SouthCoast to do it. Anybody that balks at $32,999 for an MR really has no idea what a great deal is.

losing $4k per car? u don't make any sense at all. you can say " they earn $4000 LESS" but they never lose any money by selling new cars

If they pay the same that we pay for 'em then they would be losing money and I don't know how they could be getting them for less than us so there you go. Typically you are right, I'm not going to lose money to sell a car and the only way that I would sell an MR for that price is if I am guaranteed to make up the $4k in back end profit, but if they are shipping the cars out of state and not doing the financing then it appears to me that they are actually losing money, believe it or not. I have no idea why they are doing it and I know that it is really pissing off all the other dealers in their region, but they are so people should really take advantage of it while they are feeling so generous.

thank you!!, complaining about 32999 for an MR is insane, places are selling them for msrp and others for over msrp, whether you decide to take advantage of the deal, which is still a great deal, or not is up to you but the cars will sell with or without you

Your quite welcome. I really get tired of hearing all the whining about their prices going up a grand when I had to pay $3k more than that for my car to get it for net and I'm a manager at a dealership.

Going for $36,894 at the dealers up here in MN, and i believe that is MSRP. I was just in N.C. and the Mitsu on Capital blvd was $36,894 also. $32,999 is a damn good deal if you ask me.

" $1,500 offer available with the purchase or lease of any new 2005 Eclipse, Lancer, or Lancer Evolution or 2006 Endeavor, or Galant ES, LS, and GTS."

Key word being 2005.
