Reno Area anybody?
You can get E-85 in Minden. A guy in town runs it in his 9 rs. It takes a little longer to start the car when cold w/ e-85. But then he is also running the fuel conservation setup on his tune ( lean idle & lean cruse). Other than it being lean for idle the thing runs great on e-85. Oh and the place in Minden does not get the winter blend he only gets e-85.
^^Good to know, thanks allan. Oh and allan, can you do my cam install (cosworth M3's) around the week of the 20th? thanks man. And trip, Ill need to store the Red somewhere at your house man when it comes in.
hey everyon im takeing a road trip with some friends out to cali and las vegas is one of the stops any place you all recomend or do you all have any meets set up between feb 19-21? thanks in advance
Anybody very knowledgeable about doin Cosworth M2/M3 CAM & spring installs for Evo IX head? I have the parts and im not goin to attempt it myself. Shoot me some "fair" offers. Only experienced people please that have done these installs before! Thx
I know you need a belt tensioner tool and special hex key sockets to do IX cams. Other then that not sure, we never did springs and retainers on mine. I talked to tripp about your situation, not sure where you should go mang Im still new here. Wish my best friend Corey would move up here, he did my cams and does clutches on his back in his garage in 5 hours for 400 bucks lol. He just got accepted to Metro and about to graduate academy though so I think Im screwed on that deal haha...when my clutch goes Im going to fly his butt up here lol.
^^Thanks man, So Allan is goin to do the install tommorow since he is giving us that sweet as discount at the shop. Only problem is, who can re-tune my car for them since I cant get ahold of simon.........anyone know what happened to that guy?
I got his car all tuned up. Nice and rock solid 11.1 afr's, couple 1-2 counts here and there, and I think hes running about 24psi of boost. Little high for my taste, but only had to go about 1 degree less timing then normal with cosi's. Ive done alot of M2 tunes in Vegas, I have a normal base timing map that I start with thats usually spot on hehe.
He had a really weird map in there, looks like dynodumbass al tried to lock it and put in the wrong rom definition. I flashed him back to 88590015 which is what all 06's should be on. Now if he goes anywhere else they wont have an issue getting into his ecu hehe. We may be bumping him up to 100 octane here at some point, after running cams on 91 he didnt notice too much of a change and is ready for some real power! Thats the bad thing about cosi's, they dont really shine until you can put some boost through them with 100 octane. My car feels like a slug now going back to 91

Yeah man and thanks again. Im sure everyone knows now to stay away from Dynoass. Im at about 1/2 tank of 91, so when Im on E ill let you know and if youre avail, we can tune for the 100. I can actually feel a better pull after driving the car a couple days from the cam and tune. Definitely better up-top power, just sucks that 91 really cant compensate those cams. Other than that, i did pick up some better power.
