The K1 is a great wheel. Light and strong, ran a set on my SE-R. I can't believe you got rid of the STI and got a Mini.

Looks like I found some wheels to get then if this guy still has em for sale http://www.northamericanmotoring.com.../17920/cat/fav

But first I gotta check with Vesko on his set of Team Dynamics he has... Just don't want to end up having to cut or anything like that with em like I did the NTO3s and they are 17x8.

And yeah, I can't either. But my wallet sure can! Nothing beats making ~$7000 instantly on a vehicle that is still fun to drive AND saves on gas money. I've been driving it pretty hard (freeway/city) and it's onboard computers (one of many things I missed from the Porsche, most of which I don't have to miss any more) tell me I'm getting about 30 mpg and with 100 miles on the current tank I still have a range of over 300 miles... I barely did 230-250 in the STi (averaging about 18 mpg, and not driving it nearly as hard as the Mini).

Now as long as I can sell most of the stuff I have from the STi for a decent price (namely the wheels and AP) then I'll be 100% happy with my decision. Hopefully the RSD Swap Meet will help me with all that. Gotta clean up the wheels/tires today or tomorrow.

This is me and always hard to find ... I love all of the multi-spoke variants that come from the Bimmer World ... however I've always liked where the outer spokes are affixed to the "inside" of the rim instead of somewhere on the outside lip. Why?

1 - If you nail a wheel, a lip is easier to polish than part of a spoke ... a
2 - On the visual (personal here basically) spokes that are affixed to the rim lip usually end up poking outwards making any width / tire look "skinny." Those affixed to the inside help put a nice muscular visual to the car.

Mini's included.

From talking to Alex with TireRack on NAM it looks like it'd be a better option to stick with something that is et 42mm or more. Factory is 50mm. So I think I may wind up continuing my search, probably pick me up a set of black RPF1s 17x7 et 43... maybe. The K1s would apparently be insanely aggressive with the low offset and that's not what I want.

Here's K1s in the proper size... Not a bad price:

If I can't get RPF1s for a decent price I might just get these and powder coat them black at a later date.

Man ... when I asked for rim help for my very worthy Pontiac G8GT I got the shaft from this thread, and I still own an Evo.

I think UT_Evo should just go for this:

and be done with it.
