Well... it is an MMO... so it is like WoW. And the millions of others of them out there. So if you're not a fan of MMOs at all then it isn't for you. But it is really well done. For a new release MMO there are very few things I have a problem with on it.

 

Hmm, may have to trade BF3 or Forza 4 for it. Sounds good.

It got the "multiple violations" banhammer which left me confused. I think the thread had some sales that didn't have pictures, usernames, et al?

The thread for me was extremely useful to consolidate time and energy for parts for sale near where I live. Everything else for Evos it seems is always on the East Coast or on the West Coast.

I was the under the impression that a violation of the rules would be levied on the actual offending users (and a few posts), not on a full thread closure (aka lots of good users). In different words I could see a few posts get deleted, but a full thread that has lots of good usage for at least myself getting ban-hammered has me feeling a little defensive.

Funny aside question ... anybody caught any runaway rust on their Evo 8s or 9s in Utah?

I have found rust in my rear passenger wheel well. I will be going over the entire car with my dremel, rust buster, and rustolium. Le ghey

 

doh ... I dug out my rear suspension (all the little things are fun getting off) ... up in some of the weld joints are traces of what could become problematic rust.

What's the current feelings on rust inhibitors? Do I need clean metal, or just try to leave on the non-flaky stuff and let the chemical try to "convert" the rest?

Most of the violations were done before the new FS rules were posted. That being said, hardly anyone was following the new rules. There's no reason you can't open a new Utah for Sale thread... Everyone just needs to follow the rules like we have been on this thread (which is why we started that thread to begin with).

When there is a many to many relationship on a thread (with e-mail alerts) ... imho ... zapping posts seems to be a better solution than closing an entire thread.
Since I have very little skin in the game I'll be patient enough to wait for hopefully a new and improved Utah FS thread. If anybody sees one pop up for whatever reason, if we could post it here it hopefully might make it easier getting my subscriptions setup.

 

I had my for sale thread killed awhile ago by the same mod even tho I created it before the rules were posted. I updated my thread to remove some items I sold and because of that he said my thread had to apply to the new rules and deleted it. I would say that mod is defiantly my least favorite. But I'm going to keep my feelings to myself so I don't get any points.

 

You can create a new thread yourself... So you don't have to wait for anything.
