Russ is the guy who "tunes" all the Evos down in orem and who blew one up. I have meet him and know people who are friends with him. He really stiffed some one? I could see that. I'll ask about it. He doesn't have an Evo, he has a Galant vr4 that never runs and he bought a corolla recently... so I hear. Shifty guy.

Ok, so I had a few people tell me they'd like to get together and do a canyon run on a weekend. I know how lousy we all are at sticking to a plan, or even coming up with a plan, but I thought maybe we could give it a try. There are some fun roads up here where I live. A couple of which normally don't have much traffic, or police. So i'd propose we do a sort of barbeque (at my place) and then head out for a canyon run. I live about fifteen minutes north of ogden. I would say a saturday or a sunday. That way we could (maybe I should say I could) put some faces with the names I see on the boards, and check out some other setups, plus have a good time doing some fun driving. I'm willing to plan it if people will show.............................................

I am all for it, I would just need to tell my wife "this is the last car guy get-to-together of the year I promise". Or something like that. Ogden is way up there for me since I live in Orem, so I would need to do some smooth talkin'. But if we could get all the guys from on base that would be cool. Scott says there are like 10 Evo's on base now. Plus Zach and Ben from SLC, all the Orem Evo's are lame, well I've never actually met them. Someone I know is buying a used one off of an older guy down in Orem who ordered an MR.

 

Which Zach? Zach as in me, or another Zach? Crud.

I would like to come down, guess it would depend on when. I will be down in SLC on Oct 23rd going to a dyno day with some guys I know to get a baseline.

 

I am down maybe I will have some more swag on my car before I show up. Maybe I will get some STi to come run with us

My car is still more or less stock. I put a k&n panel filter in because it was time to change it anyway. I replaced the brake pads with ferodo DS2500's. There is an ACT clutch in there with a SS clutch line. Other then that, a Compustar alarm with a remote start and turbo timer. Thats about it. If I ever get a chance, I'd like to go the Vishnu route with a set of cams, but that won't be for a while if I ever do it.

 

Mine is too, not everyone around here has had a chance to mod their cars.

 

Hey guys which dealership did you get your evos from? I can get a gsr for 26,900. what was the price you guys paid?

 

If we can agree on a date, we can get it set up, it would have to be at earliest a week from friday, but after that we can do it whenever. Like I say, let's get some for sure i'd come guys together and do it. Other cars are welcome to come as well. I'm sure Mitch will be there. So let's get a count going:

Also on a side note, the weekend of october the 8th a bunch of us are headed to vegas to run the test and tune. The fee to run is $40, and you don't need a yti. So that weekend would be out, but if you want to cruise down with us let me know.
