Utah Evos
it's just funny cuz it was you that was hammered and not me
I only had two beers that night cuz I was driving. Good to meet you too man now you just need to get the evo iv fixed so I can check that out. And I'll hit the midnight drags so you can see a evo do better then 13 I would've hung out more but I'm always trying to cram way to many things to do in little time. Next time were going out and your coming with me & I still need to give ya a ride in the evo
I was texting you & Dallin saturday night but not sure wtf was going on with my phone they were coming hours late
I was texting you & Dallin saturday night but not sure wtf was going on with my phone they were coming hours late

I don't remember even getting texts from you on Saturday
So either I deleted them for some odd reason. Or I never even got them. Saturday was cool though, I'll have to PM you for some more stories.
You'd better be there a couple days before. Otherwise I'm gonna go to your house and burn it down, after using it to sleep in
And, just to rant here, I'm posting this on Utah SCCA (this was the event I instructed Chuck at):
I signed up for the 7/13 event as a non-member instructor, planned on spending the $65. Ended up finding out that week that the coolant bottle had sprung a leak. So I emailed Dave asking for a refund:
That sucks! I'll request a refund for you. I wish I could let
convertibles in, it'd simplify many things...
See you saturday.
Thanks
DK

His response was at 6:12 PM on that same Friday. I waited awhile thinking it might just take a few days to process (the payment hadn't even posted to my PayPal, so I figured it wasn't even going to try to hit). I took the money out of that account that I had in there to pay for the event. A few days later, PayPal tried hitting my account for the 65, which wasn't there. My bank charges me a $20 no-funds fee and then PayPal does it again... Another $20 fee (so not going to the event has cost me 105 dollars).
I got tired of it and called my bank/PayPal. Both places said I'd need to contact SCCA. So... I emailed Dave again.
Dave,
They still have not refunded the fee and paypall keeps trying to charge my bank, and therefore my bank keeps charging me a 20 dollar fee since I don't have the funds in that account anymore. I need that 65 refunded so I can call my bank and cancel the 20 dollar fees.
Thanks,
Jake
Waited a few more weeks (it's summer, maybe he's out of town). No response at all. I decide I'll come on here and try PMing Jon (Fastbrewer) to see if he can work something out. No response. I check Dave's activity and it looks like he's on the board a normal amount, so I send him a PM. Still no response.
I've been super relaxed about this trying to get a response because I like running with the SCCA and both Dave and Jon are great guys, I'm sure there's a good reason as to what is going on. But it has been over a month and I'm still short the money. I'd hate to have to go through the dispute process with PayPal, but I will if I have to.

True. I submitted a dispute with paypal too. I'll do that first before I go to the credit card.
That sucks Jake. I have my paypal take from my credit card when there are low funds because I've found that for the most part credit card companies are pretty good at resolving problems and protecting your money (they screw you everywhere else so I guess it's even). Good luck with the refund. That was my first time meeting all the SCCA guys and they seemed pretty cool. It's weird they are making a simple situation so difficult.
one day wes my car will be cool enough to have pics of it stolen.
Jake- that sucks buddy, hope it gets resolved soon.
chuckbyu-I work for a credit card, and yes some parts are evil all about making money, but when it comes to wrongful or fraudlent charges we get that taken care of in a jif.

I dunno why they are, whatever. It took from my credit card in the end. But because I didn't think it was gonna post at all I took the money out of my other account, and therefore it charged me twice with the extra fees. And my bank said the easiest way to get them to refund me the 40 bucks is to have proof that the 65 is indeed supposed to be refunded and the easiest way to do that is to have the 65 refunded.

I usually don't have that much to drink and I don't drink too often
