Yeah yeah, laugh it up. Wasn't Eric worshiping Kwin's STi a second ago... There's a word that comes to mind... something about a hippo.

Anyway, no, not the '09 STi, it's a rip off. I'm talking about the '09 WRX. For ~10k less you get almost the same car, minus some fancy performance stuff, and .1 sec 0-60. But... there's more to come when you scroll down.

Who is Tommy? Of those, I'd probably pick Tommy's Evo.

Professional pilot program, that's pretty cool.

And now for the fun stuff. So today on my way home from school I'm going west on 21st south, I'm stopped at a light in the middle most of the two lanes. There's also a truck trying to back out. I see him but figure he sees me and won't back out. Next time I look over his truck is almost inside my car, not much I can do at this point. So his giant skull battering ram of a hitch cover rams into the side of my car (and pretty low speeds). He realizes it, pulls forward, gets out, helps be back into the driveway behind me so we don't block traffic and we call the cops...

So, my passenger side door is basically scrap, and the part of it that is bolted to the front quarter panel got pulled, so it pulled on the front quarter panel, also messing it up.

I'll post pics later, right now I don't want to think about it much more.

jake if you are looking at this as a car to take on the track look at the fenders from the WRX to the STi.

We have fit the michelin porsche cup tires on the 08 sti on all 4 corners. I am talking the REARS. There is no way you can fit that much tire on the WRX.

If you are looking for a street car I think the WRX is the right choice

Being that I've only taken the Porsche to the track twice (since the coolant was leaking the third time) and am not going as crazy as I was in the Evo, it wouldn't matter much. I know the trackability of the WRX is a whole lot less than the STi, as well as the modability (weaker tranny). But 0-60 in 5.1 stock wtih an AccessPort (or other tune) would be roughly the 0-60 I do now, and that's the only thing that really matters anymore.

But, because of what happened, I doubt I will sell my car. I realized it means too much to me.

I'd say buy Tommy's Evo then, looks good. But still don't know more about it than that.

And yeah, it sucks, hopefully once everything gets sorted out they can fix it all next week since I don't have school. Hooray for being at least 21 though, so his insurance gets to rent me a car. Cobalt here I come.

Today on my way to school I was behind a red Evo with a cwest front bumper and a cwest sticker on the trunk. I was in my sister's white 3 series, so I didn't wave or anything.

I haven't posted much but I was cleaning out the garage the other day and I wanted to give you local guys a shot at these before I posted them elsewhere.

I have about 4 complete sets of used 235/40/17 Hankook r-comps for sale. These came off of our old E46 325i US Touring Car. Each was shaved and then run for 5-6 sessions then pulled. Asking $25/tire or $75 for a set of 4. They are located in Cedar Hills.

Thanks!

Rob

Those are all good choices man. I love the X and I love the 06 STI's But if you are wanting something that is cheaper than both and faster and cheaper to make faster than those two, then I would go for Tommy's Evo
