IMO the stock studs are better then doing the one by one method. 90% of the time you will create a oil leak down the back of the block. The stock studs hold up pretty well until upwards of 25 psi.
what horsepower rating?

the reason you do head studs is so your head doesn't lift under high boost and blow a head gasket

Cylinder Pressure is what really limits the head studs. Running 22psi you will be fine as long as you are not running crazy amounts of timing(well past minimum best timing)

People have reliably made 400 hp on the stock head studs. With the setup in your signature I would not worry about them.

I did them on my Evo back in 04 when the one by one method was the craze and sprung a oil leak.

I could have sold prob hundreds more sets of head studs then I have. I talk about 90% of the people that call in out of them. Probably not good for business but it is the right thing to do.

If you do the head studs remember you need to re-torque them down about 4-5 times after heat cycling them for a couple days. They will come loose. I have seen someones head studs loosen up to around 50 ft/lbs they were also better off with the stock bolts.

+1

I need a valve cover gasket when I replace that I will check the torque on mine, it's never a bad thing
