If your willing to drive or can find a few people that needed tuned, Jake Montgomery here in idaho is one of the best tuners in the west for evo/mitsu etc.. He lives in boise but will travel if paid
oh and if you want a black hallman you can buy mine!

Ahhh. See I thought yours had some adapter to fit the stock mani and these were garret turbos with a proper evo flange on them. My bad. Your setup was sick. That's what I'll be doing but instead of buying all new exhaust, I'll just make my own O2 housing that will take the 3" V-band and go into the exhaust I already have (since I have 3" exhaust all the way back already anyway). Save myself a few hundred dollars.

I think there is a few options. There is Eric Ficker you could have a tune done by him the next time he is up here in the area or I am sure there are a few local guys around here that know a thing or 2 about checking yours out to see where you are at
I am no tuner by far but I feel pretty good with everything else with cars other than tuning
I would have someone who knows what they are doing like Jake Montgomery or Eric Ficker for some closer little bit more local tuners do it
If I could find a IX "GSR" with less than 30k miles on it for a good deal I might. I would've in the first place though. Unfortunately a IX with those miles on it would be almost as much as my car was, and therefore I'd take another huge loss and be in an older car.
Shoulda just kept the VIII... By now it'd be a pretty sick car since it was paid off... But I made a stupid move and traded it for the Porsche. Cams, Moton Clubsports, E85, Evo IX front and rear and interior, the black tails and heads (JDM MR I think...) and probably a CF lip... Would've been pretty sweet. Oh well, nothing I can do now.

I went with the 2" I like it better its more clean that way
[QUOTE=UT_Evo;7522413]Prices seem to have gone up a little since winter on the STis... So I decided for kicks (since it is free anyway) I'd list it for sale on KSL and see if I get any decent bites. If I do, I can guarantee I'll sell it and get back into a IX.

The 3071 will give you a quicker spool than the 76. I'm not looking for huge peak power either but i'll sacrifice a little down low for the efficiency of the gt30 turbo. I think a properly set up gt30 will give you almost as good a power band with a much greater potential and much safer too. And for not much more money. I'm not trying to knock the FP's at all because they are obviously great turbos and well proven. I just have used the garret turbos in many other cars and have never been disappointed.
If I drive up there how much would it be? PM the price, and does he have a dyno?
