The stock wastegate spring opens at 11-12lbs of boost. The solenoid and MBC just bleed off pressure to "trick" the wastegate into opening at higher boost. 8 lbs of boost is not possible unless you have a boost leak or you gauge isn't functioning right. Unless the leak is coming from the MBC itself, they way you have it hooked up is not causing the problem. There is something else going on. Good luck.

I'm still getting used to it. Definitely have it a lot easier since I can sleep in. I cant function without atleast 9/10 hours of sleep. Wish it was less. Just have to train my body for it maybe.

i really want this problem to be a leak in my BOV, i have my 2nd gen eclipse GST BOV in my garage and i was thinking i would slap it on there to see if it helps at all. but i may not hassle with it until the 6th (when my forge BOV gets here) i went through all my stock IC piping they all seemed tight and snug. but ordered MUSE upper and lower ic piping, just to be safe ;D..
and can anybody post a pic of how they have their boost gauge set up? idk if im doing mine correctly.

EDIT: and it sure only feels like im hitting low psi. not much pull. at all. i hit cut at 4500-and up ish in first gear

You definitely have a huge boost leak like others have stated. Your not getting "cut" as you put it. "Cut" generally means the engine is not able to climb to any higher rpm than the rpm your getting cut at. Such as a rev limiter or fuel cut.

By what you said, it appears your able to go beyond 4500rpms its just your not building anymore boost.

If you have access to compressed air, then remove your MAF and intake from your intake pipe. Grab a thick ziplock bag, or a garbage bag, get a clamp, and clamp the bag around your intake pipe. Take the vacuum line off the blow off valve, and compress the air inside the vacuum line and listen for leaks.
