anyone here have any experience porting/polishing the exhaust manifold? I'm looking to get mine done and then coated. I was about to send it off to PPI but if we have peeps that can do it locally, I'd be happy with that.

1. Get a cable of your own
2. Get a MAP sensor to replace the MDP sensor
3. Get a wideband and get it wired into the ECU

There is a TON of information available on here of how to do that.
I'd also convert over to the most standardized ROM for your car. Not sure which it is for the USDM IX though as I have an VIII.

Actual tuning is the easy part, IMO. Trying to find all the information and then ironing out small glitches that come with all the patches is the tricky part.
I'm actually finally on this path ... and ... am wondering where everybody who's in this game has located their WBo2 sensor?
The most likely candidate is to uninstall my downpipe and put it on the right hand side, just before the downpipe's first bend?
Thanks,
~j.

ME TOO! it sputtered a lil on me last night but just once. Maybe too cold. I'm looking into getting another house farther north and maybe renting this one but it'll probably be a year or so and means no new parts for that whole time hmm.

So driving home just barely me and this R6 bike were playing around in riverdale from light to light (nothing illegal on my part of course). From one light i pulled away slowly and he did a wheelie through the first three gears up to like 80 in front of a riverdale police. The 5-0 flip around so fast. I was laughing my @$$ off

I've got pulled over in roy when i first bougth the car for my stock exhaust other then that i got pulled over one time which got me nailed for smoked heads, tails, and side markers. 5% window tint, no front plate, not having the 3 brake light tint cut out, and a tinted license plate cover. Stupid uhp. Other then that its been good.

I've been wondering about this also. I planned on just running mine off the testpipe bung, and installing the stock rear o2 sensor on the bung in the invidia cbe section (with a fouler on it)... if it's going to reach. If not, I'm on the same boat as you. The reply most commonly offered is: fit the dp to your car to see exactly where you want the sensor located, mark the pipe, and then remove it and have it welded on at that point.

I'll also start multi-quoting... Sorry guys.

I have my wideband installed on my testpipe, passenger-side. There is a rubber grommet on the passenger-side center console, right below the shifter. Just remove the plastic pieces and pull the carpet back.

It was just big enough for my O2 to fit through and placing it on the TP gave it just enough slack so the huge connector from the O2 sensor would still be inside the car. Cause it wouldn't fit through the hole.

Anything I can help with?

Guys,

I manage the support department of a local internet service provider. I don't want to go into too many details about it here in public, but I could easily get us some a hookup on either a colocated server here (10mbps burstable limit on the connect) or a decent hosting package. I would love to talk about the details with someone in a PM, or perhaps at a meet or something, but please hit me up if there's anything I can offer. This could mean website and db hosting, as well as email services including activesync/push and what not. We have a new hosting product that is really neat, but very likely isn't necessarily needed for our applications here. This could easily mean website hosting for other people offering services, or shops for that matter...

Jay, what did you do with your rear o2 sensor? I ask because thats exactly what I want to do, but I'm a little unclear on the best way to handle the o2 sensor that was in the cat. From what I've read, it seems like disabling the sensor in the ECU and then tying it off and getting it out of the way sounds like my best bet otherwise...

I still have my secondary O2 installed in the catback section of the exhaust and had it disabled when I was tuned. Everything has worked out just fine this way.
