In like a week I will have my dyno graphs up with basically the same mods riley has, so you can see for yourself

Jeezus, the GSCs are 529 EACH from Stikiller.com (GSC, basically). Unless I missed something in their 4 page essay about the specs that says each order is a complete set while trying to skim through it.

By the way, in case you were wondering Riley, word of mouth from a few people involved (since I've been asking) is that the S1s are a significant improvement over the 272s on the Project Evo. Most notably that they have more lower end without sacrificing the high end (basically what you said).

And Mike, I don't think Tint counts as a mod

You didn't list the third options...

Have your Dad buy an EVO, modify and pay for all your track
time while he is relegated to puttin' around in a little roadster.

From what we see here, the Evo 9's are capable of more power than the 7's or 8's we have. It seems to be signifigant too, around 20ish more hp. If I can get Christian to sign up on EvoM, I can have him post up some dyno charts. Let me ask him.

That's not an option for EvoIV or I think he would've said something And I'd hardly call it puttin around in a little roadster.

As far as the 8-9 debate goes, I compared my mustang dynos to a girl who had almost the exact same mods (except a high flow and a different exhaust), she made 5 whp more than me... Roughly guessing a high flow does around 10-15 whp, then Justin is right. The MAJOR significance she and I saw was that her's made power a decent bit lower and held it longer, as well as torque. And yes, she was flashed by Al too.

I still have the IV, I just need to do a little more on it. I am selling my other cars so I can get a new Evo That I really want. I don't really want to modify the IV because I think it is worth more unmolested and not all hopped up on stuff that could heart it. I want another one so I can go all crazy all out and if something happens on it I can get parts no problem. Unlike the IV were I have to match them up to other Mitsubishi parts. Takes to long. I really want an IX RS.

i am positive that the gsc's are 529 per set so that means 529 for the intake and exhaust combo not 529 each cam. that is actually a decent deal considering that the hks cams are like 600 now and the gsc's are making better power. yah i heard that there is no sacrafice in low end power at all with these cams that is what i am going to do during the summer. injectors, evo green, gsc's pretty much...

Oh and i talked to robi and i guess i am getting coilovers in like april the kw's i am excited...

I have talked to a few people about cams and they have said that the cosworth M1 grind cams have some the most increase in power, but the GSC S1's are what in getting because cosworth is pricey.

brandon you should be shot for owning a honda and calling it "VTECH"... it's V-T-E-C (no "H")... variable valve timing lift electronically controlled.

i may know where you could get a used one that is in mint condition with some light but tasteful mods for a good price. waiting for final word from the current owner though.

those are the gsc 272's which are the old version of the s1's. they are almost the same as the hks 272's so they arent as good as the new s1's
