Sorry I wasn't very clear...I was just saying thay if you get these as a set you are essentaiily getting the tires for nothing. I dont really want to split them up as I dont want to go through the hassle of dismounting the tires.

Dang guys, I didn't know there were so many of you out there... Even though Utah isn't technically the stereotypical midwest state- we've included both Utah and Colorado in our focused states on www.midwestevos.com right now we don't have many- if any Utah evo's on there to rep your state!!!!

We've been going for about a month now and have 115 members and are growing REALLY fast. We'd love to have any of you that would like to talk more regionally, be involved of evo of the month stuff and giveaways. Plus (shhh it's a much more lax forum)

I'm still pissed at EvoM for putting us on Midwest rather than West... Course I'm glad not to be included with the scum from Cali...

Just so you know Wojo, I'm sure for a decent price someone would pay the teenie bit of money it costs to dismount tires.

newbie

Hello from a Utah noob,

I'm new here and I'm starting to look into buying an Evo, although I still need to finish up grad school so the actual purchase wouldn't be until sometime after this winter. Anyway I'm up here in Logan which has a complete lack of motorsports, although I've been working on finding some land to hold a rally cross. Thank goodness for the Miller track, looking forward to attending the Sunchaser endurance event coming up in a couple weeks.

utahscca hosts a rallycross chapter which are sanctioned events check out utahscca.com

personally i would never rally my evo. too nice of a car... if i had an sti it would be a different story
there are acutally a huge amount of motorsports in the utah area. miller has open track days every week, or you could come down and autox with me every other weekend like i said there is also rallycross if you realy want to dominate your car. plus there is a go-kart track up in logan called speed street which is way fun... jake can vouch

WoJo Do you still have your Evo? And are you willing to sell your DBA rotors? I may want those wheels and tires too. If they will fit my car. I want like a 9" to a 9.5" wide wheel, but I can only fit like 8" wide wheels so I think they would work. If not then I think I will just have to do a wide body

You're going there just for school Riley, that's awesome... For living... well... Other than maybe Carmel and Monterey (which are stupidly expensive to live in just like everywhere else) I wouldn't live anywhere in Cali. I've been to San Diego/LA a bunch and to San Fran a bunch, fun to visit, even fun to live in for 4 years temporarily probably... Fun to have to live in a 1.5 million dollar home equal to a 100k home here... not so much. Fun to get pulled over and have the cops tell you they need to see all your CARB stickers for the teenie mods you have on your car... Not fun.

Basically Riley, I have little against Cali if someone pays for you to live there Then its just automotive related crap that bothers me (the traffic, CARB standards, the traffic, the CHiPs, the pollution, the traffic...)

Plus, I like pretending I'm safe here after 11pm. I wouldn't think of going out after the sun goes down in LA, I'd like to remain bullet free!

Only place I've heard a lot about and never been to that sounds reasonable is Palm Springs, but that's retirement ville USA.

And as a side note... The track is in Layton... Nothing but USU and really good ice cream is in Logan (however that canyon is a fun drive) Its a nice "get away from the city but I don't want to be in the boonies at Dixie" school. Kinda like going to school in a cheaper less touristy Park City.

I have tried 4 different sets of wheels and they ether hit inside or stick out of my tiny wheel wells I think the widest I could possible go is maybe a 8.5 So if you want me to do 18x9.5 with a set of 285's then I guess its time for a WIDE BODY KIT

Ya my car wont be done but I think I will come up and watch. So I hope to see you there.
