I seriously think you should've just JB Welded it like we discussed! It would've made your car SO much faster! The white looks nice. I hope that stud comes out, if not, JB Weld will hold that manifold on securely!

I like them, only problem is I've had a problem with my balance shaft so I am driving with a stock tune and stock boost, so I haven't actuallly got to feel the power increase. I did have a mail in flash on it for a bit and it was awesome! They felt very simular to my buddy's evo with HKS'. I'll be getting a dynotune as soon as I eliminate my balance shaft next week and I'll post up the numbers. People that have had HKS' and BCs say they are very alike.

Oh man that sucks! I'm sorry to hear that. I've had a busted off bolt like that in my hotside before, I ended up having to get it machined out. Damn stainless bolts! I ate up carbide bits and extractors like crazy. I hope you have alot better luck than I had, bud.

yea its probably same spot yours was on hotside on backside where manifold bolts down, I can't wait until its fixed I'm going to head over there to drop the car off at 8-9ish

I think I'm not going to do anything powerwise to the car for awhile I'm sick of working on it right now haha

Make them fit on my car and I'll buy them from you Riley Okay, probably not, since I doubt I have the money to buy Volks right now, used or not.

Speaking of which, anyone wanna buy a ski/snowboard rack for the Evo still?

I know what you mean. As soon as I get my car back from Joe and get it tuned, I think I'll just be happy to be able to drive it for a while, I wish. Hey I know you said you are going to drop your car off, but if you end up having to dink around with that bolt yourself, pure bees wax is a very good penetrator, for some reason it really gets down in there.

Turbo Laboratories

Hey guys, I got an 03 evo a few months ago, it has a buschur TBE, Intake, 264 cams, grounding kit, and a tune by Al. I want to put another $1500-2000 into it and wanted ur guys' opinions. I talked to Joe Sim at Turbo Laboratories and he told me to do a 10.5 hotside and o2 housing or get a IX turbo, intercooler piping, and 272 cams. What do u guys think? Thanks.

Save up another 1000 or so and get a good suspension set-up.

Or if you don't already have them get gauges.

Joe's a good guy. He won't steer you wrong. He's the only one I let work on my car, and I've been through some bad shops. As for a tune, I've had a tune by Al, and it was good, when he did it in person, but IMHO don't do a mail in flash, just too many variables that could be different. You should just get a fickerflash from eficker at Munoa Performance, next door to Joe. He has a dyno. I'm getting my fickerflash here in two to three weeks. They do good work.

I wouldn't pay for a tune by Al ever again with Ficker here. Guarenteed Ficker could've pulled another 10-20 whp out of my Evo, and even if it was only 2 more he's still a whole lot cheaper than Al. And a whole lot less weird of a guy... most of the time...
