Hey guys i might need to sell my evo what do you all think would be a good starting price? it has a new painted body kit, turbo back exhaust, new larger intercooler with 3 in. hard piping, intake, a larger aftermarket oil cooler with custom lines some of the body panels have just been painted because of some body repairs. the only problem is it has a salvage title. So what do you guys think?

 

Look on ebay to see what they are going for, im sure you can find some salvage titles on their. I think generally the Salvage goes for half price of a good condition car.

Ah, list it for 24k! Some kid will see all the mods and go blind with love for the car, then by the time he sees the salvage title part, he probably won't care!

 

03 Salvage title? How many miles? For a 03 with a salvage title around 13K to 16k depending on miles though. I may be interested I just looked on KBB.com and it doesn't say what value is with A salvage title but I know that it is alot less than if it was a clean one. Clean title would be around 16.5K to 20k so to just give you and idea.

 

The salvage kills the value on these cars is the down side and its a 03 is part of the reason too. But hey you never know you may still be able to get alot more out of it. Like I bought a 97 chevy pickup in high school wrecked from a friend for $2500 and fixed it up. Custom paint, lift wheels, and a sick sound system and it only booked out for 7k with the salvage title but I ended up selling it for almost 9k and still made money and drove it for over a year. So you never know?

 

I was thinking something like $18k it has 53k miles and the only reason they salvaged it was because it had minor body damage on most of the body and it had a bent control arm and the didnt know if there was any damage underneath. i am just finishing the body work and am preping the body for paint now so if anyone is interested or knows anyone who is pm me and i can get pics and more info

 

it not like it was all waded up in a bad front end wreck just things here and there and they just added up and the insurance rounded up, way up to cover there asses!

 

18k might be a little high. Ray sold his however long ago it was for 17k and it was a wonderfully prepped car. Trade-in "auction" for a non-salvage '03 with 52k miles and 3000 dollar stereo system (haha trust me here...) was around 16k in August. Carmax thought my car was salvage (the pseudo-frame was dented under the car) and said they'd do 13k for it. I did, in the end, trade it in for 18.5k though. But that's cuz the owner of the dealer I took it to really liked the mods and knew someone else would later.

i need to sell these, i am more than willing to seperate wheels and tires so pm me if you want the tires, they are great for autox/summer driving, and have about 70% tread and have never been raced on!

 

There was a 04 or 05 rs that went in these forums for $14k and the thing was pimped out with a ix rear and some other stuff so that goes to show what SALVAGED titles will do to you. I have a clean title FTW but still has a accident on it plus im never getting rid of my evo too much cash I know I've got over 15k probably close to 20 with all the damn tuning and tires and etc.. etc..
