do you know what happened, aside from the blown piston? What caused it, in other words?

It's probably best to PM him directly, rather than speculate.....

The car is still on the road and he is driving it today.

I have the advantage of knowing him personally and talking with him on a daily basis, but I will not divulge any info on Chris's car........you guys will have to get the info from the perverbial 'horses mouth' .......always best that way.

If he's driving it I'd be shocked if it was a piston thing.

Anyways, back to a 'somewhat' topical approach......

Are there any RRM Dyno videos that someone might have done with a 4G69 ? or any current Dyno sheets ?

As was pointed out before, there are no dyno sheets from either the SC camp or the TC camp........so updated information might be helpfull for those hoping to reach their target.....or atleast to see if one's target is reachable.

The only RA Dyno sheets that I can remember seeing (other then the standard RRM) for Turbo cars was the custom kit from PR that dynoed at like 300WHP....crazzy.....that car is completely nuts..

Anyways, Thanks.

hey everyone, ok, so here's the scoop, and to put questions to rest, yes my car has experienced some issues, I have some damage to the 4th piston and all in all the car is still running, we have yet to determine any type of cause... turbo or otherwise, at this point I am not speculating on the turbo causing this, fuel or anything until he head is off and we can see the issue or damage, but the car is drivable and still functioning well, with a bit of hesitation at idle, I will keep everyone up to dat eon my progress.

if i was you i would stop driving the car asap. my friend had a cav z24 with a bent rod and he continued to drive it until it got so bad that he needed a completely new engine. just something to think about.

hahaha I think I may have solved my own problem, and I'm not speculating until we finish the tear down, but the car seemed to be running fine last night, no hesitation, or rough idle, I'm leaning towards a stuck egr valve, it is a tough one to diagnos but there are too many variables to contend with, so a simple valve and head check will give us a better picture into what the problem is here.

But as of last night the car was running great, and my CEL cleared itself this morning.
