The owner of the dealership were i bought my car had a similar problem, its like a ping/knock noise. He had it fixed, it turned out he had a faulty bearing on his crank/piston rod. so have a look into that, might solve ur problem. good this ur under waranty

 

I'm bringing this thread back. Because right now there's a ping/ clicking noise (i'm thinkin its the cams ) comin from my engine too. My dad says its a bearing.

I'm gonna get a video up soon. Let me think wat u guys think.

Also can u guys post a video of your ralliart idling - preferably a few close soundclips of the engine when its idling so i can compare it to mines( most likely when facing the engine- the left back side next to the oil checking thing) . Plz thx

Main bearing or rod bearing?

IF it is just a click, it is likely only the lifters ticking.....hard to tell without hearing it.

 

i get a wierd noise/ feeling sometimes when i accelerate hard or come of the pedal too fast like the whole transmission or something moves

i also get creaking from front wheel when reversing out of driveway down onto the road but i think thats from lowered springs

and also sometimes a wierd sort of "error" noise when on full lock to the right with the power steering, but not always ...

 

That's because it does move. Our entire drivetrain moves like crazy if you don't have filled mounts or a damper.

Turn it up and try to hear the clicking noise. I'm thinking its normal but don't be confuse with the regular ticks- the lifters. There's another faint sound like a tick but it comes and goes- sounds weird. I don't kno if im paranoid but you guys tell me. Sorry for the crappy cell phone video but jus let me kno or Compare it to your ralliarts.
