If you don't see it somewhere up in the head, it most likely fell down into the oil pan. To get it out you could *try* to use a strong magnet to drag it over to the oil drain, but most likely you'll have to pull the oil pan to get it out. However, search the head thoroughly, first. With as fast as things move in there, it could've bounced around just about anywhere up there.

well since i dont hear any REAL bad sounds,
i would ASSUME that its not messing up my engine yet...

should i drain my oil through a filtered funnel and check that, if not, take the oil pan off?
if not... pray the stealership doesnt rape my anus?

Well then

Here's the instructions from All-Data, there should be some resistance on the feeler gauge but not too much, you will only turn the crank once after you find TDC the first time and make sure the motor is HOT 176F to 203F. Good luck.

PS,
That sound you hear is your valve train being hammered to death.

yeah,
i take no disrespect on that,
my own fault for not using a torque wrench...
i just kinda hd to go blow off some steam and such,
i think tomorrow i will drain the oil and
check the pan see if its in there,
hoping for the best,
worst case scenario, getting some friends to help take the engine apart and find that nut.
man, i dont understand how that happened. I was worried they were too tight...

yeah, i think i might have to take this to some family friends for some dismantle/re-assembly if its not in the oil pan

any ideas on what else i should do would be really appreciated...
im going to sleep.

If it made it to the pan it should be ok there but if it's in the head against the cam somewhere that's a problem.
