Separate key for trunk?

Ok, this is getting annoying. My key fob doesn't have a trunk release and my ignition key doesn't open the trunk, so my only option is to unlock the car, lean in, and pop the trunk.

Was the car supposed to come with a separate key for the trunk?

No, the ignition key opens the trunk. If it's not working, your lock is probably seized. Spray the inside of the lock with WD-40 and wiggle the key in there, see if you can break it loose (without breaking your key.)

Mine has done that a few times as well, but like Otter said, some WD-40 should do the trick.

If you happen to have the Valet Key it will start the car and unlock the doors but wont open the trunk. maby thats the case if the WD-40 doesnt Work.

We don't have a valet key AFAIK.

What I have noticed: key won't unlock trunk when all doors are locked. Unlock doors with FOB, then use key.

?? That's not right, either. My doors are always locked when I go to open my trunk with my key.

Exactly what Otter said.

For my car, in the winter the lock won't turn very easy for the trunk. I have to wiggle it around a bit for it to open. In the summer though, it works just fine.

Both the key's i got with my car open both the doors as well as the trunk and I'm assuming everyone else is the same as well.

Well I tried some WD-40, it's not stuck, it just will not work with my ignition key. I will try the thing about unlocking the doors first.
