This video is from "lancerallyart" and was posted in another thread, and it shows 1/8 mile acceleration of a RA vs a 1.8T.

Hope it clears it out for you

The video is at:

if it is the 180 hp then thats sweet. I only ask because I was goofing around with someone last night who had one and I was smoking him up untill about 4th gear (in a safe environment of course) and then he started pulling on me really hard. Does anyone know their stock 1/4 mile time.

A friend of mine has a jetta 1.8t 180hp and I could take him 0-100 in my old prelude and my ralliart. After 100 though he would pull on me everytime. Turbo cars almost always have great top end pull. I know the vee dubs do. street racing is bad kids.....

My bes time in 400 meters (that is like 2 yards less than the 1/4 mile) at sea level with really bad stock goodyear tires is 15.648 seg.

No MODS stock to the bone

1.8T is slow at the launch, but once the turbo kick in, they start pulling real fast. Luckly not fast enoguh to catch a RA in the 1/4 mile.

After owning a 3rd gen eclipse i wasnt too pleased with Mitsubishi, but after test driving a scion tC, I ran right back down to get my RA, granted the dynos never seem to match up to that 162 hp/tq, I don't really care b/c a suspension as good as that can make a hell of a diff.

How's this to ask SCC? "The battle of gimmicky valvetrains". BTW: all stockers.

1) previous gen SI
2) modern SI
3) RA
4) ITR
5) RSX Type-S

I don't know any more gimmicky valvetrain NA out in the recent past to now. Hell, I'll write it to SCC.

Yes, Mitsu is being outflanked by H&A products and their fanboy drivers/editors/writers at SCC.

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the RSX-S a KA motor? I read reviews and i'm pretty sure it's not a Vtec... i'll look again.

http://www.k-series.com/

It's the K-series motor, and it's just an updated version of Vtec. All I know that H&A engineers use some sort of ju-ju magic on it and make instant crazy HP. It's spell that has been placed on the populace for a very long time, especially on the H22 motor (I haven't really figured out how they do it yet).

KA24E or KA24DE = Nissan's old truck motor that was used in the S13/14 chassis US 240sx and the 97-00 (02?) altima.

what about an RX8? AT or MT?

I hung w/ one on the freeway a few weeks ago, but it was an AT. Also I heard the MT RX8 dynos about 170whp...
