Ralliart Lancer vs. (insert model) [MERGED]
I'm hoping that Mitsu. will follow suit and offer some performance parts. There is a ton of stuff from NISO and now Toyota Racing Development. I like the look of the front end of the tC more then the ralliart and I really like the panorama moonroof.
I havent driven a tC, but I sat in one, the seats are bland compare to our RA seats. The interior well nice, is high quality plastic. I don't see what the big deal is about the interior really? Has a silvery plastic center console... ok, the rest is just black, big whoop. It's better than the RA's, but nothing to be glorifying it. Awhile ago my mom was @ the toyota dealership testing out an o5 solara, I saw a tC... open the door sat in it, the first thing I hated was the guages, look to kiddy. Also the hideaway stereo system... you have to press on the door cover for it to pop open, haha... IT WOULDNT OPEN. I kept pushing the dam door, finally i jammed it w/ my knuckles and it opened
. The interior is nice looking, but its shiney plastic... i see alot of stuff breaking in the near future. Also the back seats are to small, not enough space.
Also, it's been covered before, stock vs. stock the RA can take a tC.
Now that this is mention, It was so funny, last friday I was on my way to the LA Auto Show (15s FWY), and had a (cute) girl tailing me in a tC, I downshifted to 3rd... and she got next to me, i looked @ her... was like dam shes fine, than she gunned... lmao, I WOT and put a 2 + cars into 5th gear... she than started chasing me on the freeway, I slow down to get a glimpse of her, final she got next to me and waved, i just winked
and she was gone
I honestly believe it's a chick car, its the new celica... fact is, I havent seen one ugly chick in one, they all been cute!

I thought about it, because the tC was just released when I got the RA. I didn't test drive the tC, but I did look it over. I wanted 4 doors. Design was eh. For some reason, it bothered me that the side windows seemed really small compared to the exterior door panels. I also had a pretty negative impression of Scion, due to the xA and xB, ****ing ugly-*** cars. Toyota or not, I didn't want to be associated with those things.
Plus, to me it's just plain cool to own a Mitsubishi. I mean, it's the same company that made AWD turbo Eclipses, 3000GT twin turbo, and the Evolution.

toyota has a lot of factory parts for the scion, but rrm comes out with everything we need. that's the same darn thing. if you see any ralliart's or rally racing mitsu's, they are outfitted with rrm's performance products. we just don't need to pay the dealer, we pay rrm. and a fine darn job they do...*secret hint to have rrm get me a turbo at a discount.*
Personally I think all the Scions are butt ugly. I hate sunroofs too so the all glass roof is just horrid for me. Cant stand the sun shining on my head when i'm driving. I got the sun and sound in my car but the dealer deducted the price of it cuz I really didnt want it but I guess they really wanted to sell the car! Although I must admit, the Xb would make a great show car for a custom stereo install!

I will say that Scion is doing an excellent job and gearing their cars towards the younger driver and also their advertising. But I think I still woulda ended up with my RA. Interior is bigger for what I need.
I've liked the looks of the TC but I've never seen a picture of the interior. Uhg, its got the styling of a pickup truck. My carbon fiber dash and white face gauges, and EVO 7 GTA seats kicks the snot out of the scion TC interior. I really like the Lancer interior. Some people dont. I didn't know about the TC when I bought my Ralliart but if I did, I wouldn't have been interested. If I went with a 2 door I would have gotten an RSX. I saw a rediculous Integra Type R (RSX) in Japan that really turned me on to them.
But I was moving up from a Del Sol because I got married. Not much of a change to go with another 2 door car. The Ralliart was the perfect compromise for my wife and I. We've very happy with it.

they have many forced induction & parts for the tC now & it comes out a nice number too, but too bad that's a 2 doors otherwise I will consider..

I have an evo has my car. But I have actually considered getting either the TC or maybe even a RA (to replace my wifes Corolla in the future.) I think I would most most likey get the TC has it is a Toyota. The thing I think is funny is when I go to carlot to look at what ever and I drive the EVO. First thing out of the moron salesman mouth is "Trading that in". When I am looking at cars that aren't even close in price or type. It's just kinda funny I just laugh at them.
