i raced a GT-S and it had intake, catback exhaust, and i think few other mods but we talk off and on but my car is faster than his but not by much. by the finish line cause i mis shift on to fourth (stupid!!!) he started catching up but at the end my car was infront by a half a car lenth. most imports i race without turbos are no challenge for me so i race muscle cars.

 

I had an impromptu race against an Acura TL the other day. He initiated it. I started out SLIGHTLY ahead, and he couldn't catch me. I just looked up the specs on the TL tonight: 3.2 litre V6 VTEC putting out 270 horses.

 

I drove the TL and was UNIMPRESSED, so I would believe this story...Torqueless Honda.

 

i took down and acura rsx typeS the other day. he was stock though and you can see my mods in my sig. i had the stock wheels on at the time though. i'm not sure i would've beat him if i had the 18's on, although i did win by a decent enough margin so it may have been possible.

 

I raced a 2001 acura integra GSR the other day. pretty much took him off the line then after that we stayed about the same distance for the hole race. his car was a coupe so it would have to weight less i am guessing. but overall impression is, if it was a 4 door ralliart would spank it even more than i did.

The automatic TL does 0-60 in 6.3s (5.9 for the manual) so they should be able to outpace a stock Ralliart. It is also not quite as torqueless as some other hondas with 240lb/ft at a somewhat high 5000rpm.


I have a hard time telling the TSX and TL apart on the road and the TSX should be an even match for the Ralliart if not slightly faster.

 

Ok, I have a new one and really need an answer. My '04 lancer RalliArt, Vs. '02 Volkswagon Jetta 1.8T. Now here are the specs, my car is stock with 5spd MT. The Jetta, as far as I know is also stock, but is rollin on some 18"s. It is also an automatic, with triptronic (sportshift) Now other variables to consider, the weight of each car, my friends car is like 200-300 pounds heavier than mine. Now let's look at the drivers, I'm only about 150lbs, my friend is about 250lbs, that's another 100lbs to add to the weight of the jetta. Now I need to know which car would win, my friend keeps on telling me that his can beat mine, but I tell him he's an idiot. (Actually it's not even his car, it's his friend) I know his car is turbocharged, but if you think about it, I also have some advantages. I know it all depends on the driver, but forget that factor right now, Tell me what you guys think.

That's cool to know, well the first time he brought the car to school, I was taking two chicks home, so of course I didn't want to ditch them and race him. And that's the thing, he only brought it to school once, then like everyday I'm telling him to bring the jetta so we can race and he says he can't. Well, this Saturday might finally be the day, I'll get this **** on camera, and hopefully I can beat him, I just need to know how to do a good launch? Any pointers? Like I know how to do A launch, I just need to know how to do a good one that will get me far fast, rather than just peel out in one spot. My fat friend will finally shut up about this, I try to tell him not to underestimate the power of a RalliArt.
