A Corolla could beat a GSX or as Gs-t... Just my opinion. The Gsx is a different battle altogether. AWD will make their launch and traction better.
the second generation Eclipses were only in the 2600-2700 lb range, not 3400.

Preludes and 240sx's are bad off the line, but it has better top end.
ITR will win. It has better gear ratio to match the VTEC's powerband and floats around just 2600 lbs at 200 HP. The lack of TQ can be countered by a great driver. He/she has to run through 3 gears very fast comparing to most cars rowing through two gears for TQ.
Also, it's not the car's fault if there is a driver error. If you managed to beat a C4 vette, because the driver botched two shifts, do you actually believe that every C4 vette will be fair game for a RA. 4-5 car length = driver error, unless toasting a base model Del sol.

If the V6 Fiero is in good running order, it will give the RA a run for its money. They are very light and the car was rated at 135HP and 160TQ. Those numbers are gonna call for something CLOSE due to light curb weight. Once again though...it has to be in tip top shape.
On a personal note, I have driven the GT fiero many many times and in the 5 spd they are pretty strong. Not to be taken TOOOOOO lightly. A RA should be able to take it though.
