is the 08 cobalt ss even out yet?

 

Nobody knows for sure, but it's gonna be more up in price compare to the GTS because it's turbo...

 

Although the car is actually closer to the Evo than the Lancer, I guarantee the insurance will be closer to the Lancer rather than the Evo.

So they said its the "same motor as the evo x" but mildly tuned, and the "same awd system as the evo 9" ..

So what i am understanding the new ralliarts is just a mild, but cross breed of evo9/10??? The evo x parts will work for the motor, and evo 9 partrs should work for the drive train???

if this is the case, this car has major aftermarket potential, unlike our shadow in the darkness 1st gen ralliart.

1st gen ralliart. I like that lol.... But if the evo crossbreed stuff is true, im not calling my lancer a "ralliart" im calling it the "lancer 9x" lol

Isn't the twin clutch tranny similar to what is used in the F430?

 

I think this car will sell better than the X GSR and MR. It's popularity will likely rival the the first gen and second gen Eclipse.

 

I agree. This car's modding potential might be on par with the Evo. I can see 400-500 whp Ralliarts in the future. Money can do anything. Trust me.

 

^^^ it will be able to be modded that hard but the SST trans will not be able to handle that much power... This is going to be the biggest problem with this car

It has all the qualities of the first and second gen Eclipse but better. Relatively inexpensive, AWD (One from the IX. Many young people with Evo aspirations will swarm all over this car.), turbo engine with high tuning potential (Mega selling point for the tuner crowd), 4 doors for practicality (Most people like sedans), SST that shifts better than a manual (It can go into full automatic mode for the average driver).

If my predictions are correct this will be the most successful car for Mitsubishi. We all know that the first and second gen Eclipse is the most successful car in Mitsubishi history. They also hold the record for the highest selling sports coupe.

If Mitsubishi markets this car properly the companies reputation might be saved and more people will go Mitsu.
