yes battery is back up front, as is the windshield washer fluid reservoir. makes a big difference in terms of trunk space.

also of note is that the airbox scoop goes up and over the battery and looks way more high flow than the GTS scoop which looks more like an afterthought.

i posted an "answer" in the other thread. the BOV is NOT the same as the one on the X. well at least visually. it's black. could even be plastic. i promised not to touch anything on the showcar so i don't know if it is plastic or not.

in the pic you can see it just to the left of the red battery terminal cover. different position than the evo.

to the left of the battery terminal cover, to the right of the upper intercooler pipe. black round thing. looks cheap compared to the evo x one but oh well. 25k car we're talking about...

it's going to be interesting to see what tuners come up with for the intake. the battery is in the way so you can't just make a pipe like on the X. you either have a really short pipe with the filter sucking in hot air or a pipe that goes over or around the battery if there is enough space under the hood...

I don't understand. If it has a turbo, by definition it has to have a recirc/BOV. If you're asking if it's it's set to VTA, that would be strange on a stock engine. Of course you can get a fair amount of blowoff sound just by adding an aftermarket intake. They also make those hybrid BOVs that make a lot of noise, too, without screwing up A/F metering.

It'd be great if it was free-flowing enough stock to not need anything more than a filter swap. X's seem to get a good deal more power just from adding the Works filter.

Well i thought i would let you all know i took out the 08 WRX today and im def waiting for the ralliart. The WRX feels like a tin car witha big engine. Very loud interior as well as poorly laid out. Even the seats i found very uncomfertable compared to the Recaros. Seems to be worth the wait....

Ontopic i talked to my dealer today and he said he expects them to come around the start of July i sure hope this is true because if this is thats not a bad wait....

I don't know if dealers really know. I have a feeling they are shooting in the dark... just like the rest of us. I'm not sure if Mitsubishi even knows right now. There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding the SST.

That's the GSR or otherwise a manual tranny. I've not heard of anyone doing any tuning on an SST-equipped car. As I posted earlier, there is a guy in OZ with a JDM X MR who's putting on a bunch of HKS hardware, etc. He's expecting to get 400 or so hp. We shall see.
