Dont even get me started on how crappy aftermarket HID's are for other drivers if they aren't in properly designed projectors or reflector housing. And amby you really just spewed off your own personal opinions, and i fail to see why YOUR opinions affect how someone else feels about the NAV.

If a civic is running 11s, chances are it has some work done to it that earns my respect. Just because its a CIVIC doesnt mean I wont respect it.

i went back to thread that you responded to
which below, bye2u said that the thread is getting out of control, and EsRt2evo says that we will see how the RA responds to mods which i think he means should quiet down the critics of the RA (both of which i think are pointed at you)

i have been reading some of these threads and i am sorry but you do seem like you have some grudge against the RA, that that as of today doesnt even have a baseline yet.

Not sure how a smart car with hyabusa engine is relevant to what we are discussing here, what you just said makes no sense and is entirely out of context in discussing how the RA stacks up against other cars in the article/

Has anyone thrown out a statement like, "RA is the best track car in the world, all you have to do is put the RA pannels on the evoX and put a Boing 767 engine on it" ???

And that's the sad thing. We all have been over this numerous times. The only thing that'll quiet the naysayers is how the car does modified.

You are correct that HIDs can be bad if you don't have the correct housing. However, WRXs come stock with projectors.
So wait, I can't say that NAV isn't a big deal but it's OK to use that as a reason why the Ralliart is better value? That's pretty hypocritical don't you think?

How will it quiet people? With enough money you can make any car is existence fast. A modded car proves nothing other than the statement I just made.

Why would I have a grudge against the Ralliart? I have nothing against the Ralliart, I just don't like the attitude some people have. It's the same as WRX owners that think they drive the best car every made or STI owners that think the Evo is a POS. People need to be realistic in what they have and not make illogical statements in an attempt to rationalize what they own.

I'll respect that specific car, yes, but it doesn't mean I'm suddenly going to consider the base civic a performance car.

-Apparently Navigation is huge to 2/3's of car buyers. This little quote from JD Power;
“Nearly two-thirds of customers also indicate that not having a navigation system as an option in their next vehicle would negatively impact their purchase decision,”

-Funny how every magazine states how they LOVE the EVO Recaros but yes the odd fat person may not like them. To most they are very desirable even on NASIOC it's one of the #1 items on the wishlist for WRX's and STI's.

-Aftermarket HID kits suck period. End of story.

Did you read my post? I was talking about a 5-60 mph street start where the WRX and Ralliart are dead even at 6.3 seconds. That's how most people will be judging these cars not by brutal launch methods that make good for magazines and the drag strip only.

I for one think that we need to just let people have the chance to drive the car and let people decide after they've tested it. Everyone is going to feel the car differently. I understand how much knowledge some of these reviewers have, but for example, to me the Evo is a fast car. And I've actually never driven one. My dad's old BMW was fast. But I think my opinion comes from the fact that comparatively I have not driven anything faster. The "feeling" of speed and turning is just that, a feeling. Just because a reviewer said that the car feels slow does not mean it will feel slow FOR YOU. The way he drove it/lunched it/turned/ stopped may be leaps different to how you will drive it.

Knowledge is power, but sometimes these reviews can either leave you very excited or too disappointed and quite honestly it doesn't matter. Most of the people that bought the Ralliart, as evidence shows from their opinions, actually like it. Whether it is slower or faster than car A or car B is null in the argument that it you will make it YOUR car.

That's how most people will be judging these cars
Like I was saying, you don't know how "most" people will test it. There is just no way to know. Every reviewer out there is not a clone of each other, they are bound to have different opinions. Let's not argue over other people's opinion. I think even I made that mistake.

This combined with the fact that the car is young doesn't help things. On the flip side, saying that posting time slips and numbers and pretty charts does not validate anything either, because I bet you somebody will find a way to twist the facts to interpret them THEIR way.

Looking back at it I don't think he does. We are just wishfully thinking he did so we can gang up on him and bash him.

Not even fat people, just bigger people. I'm literally one of the only people I know personally who could fit in the Evo Recaros they had at the auto show.
Subarus have navigation as an option, just not on the WRX 265. You can get it on the STI though which makes me think it will become an option soon.
Aftermarket HIDs only suck if you don't know what you're doing.

And what happens after 60 MPH? How many people race from 5-60 MPH, we don't drive SRT-4s.

Every day I consider saying I drive an Evo in my sig just so people won't constantly use the "you drive a Subaru" defense against me.
