Car and Driver Comparo is out
I would think with the open front end, the road rash on the front will be less intense regardless.
Dont be mad, because someone doesn't like then engine in your car.http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-...gine%20failure
It is wildly know, of the new STI engine failures left and right. But hey i guess im just a hater.
Why would I be mad when you openly admit to just hating them for the sake of hating them? There a few failures, sure, but to say they're dropping like flies is like saying Evo gas pedals are breaking all the time.
When I talk about bad paint, I don't mean due to road rash.
This kid I knew had a new monte carlo - a bird took a dump on his hood, and when he went to wash it off, it took a chunk of paint with it.
While most paint isn't that bad, econo cars never get too good of paint (except maybe the sti, and evo?)

Evos and STIs have the same paint found on their lower priced siblings. The problem isn't the paint so much as it is where it's designed for. Subaru and Mitsubishi design their cars for the japanese market (for the most part). Their paint is fine if you live somewhere where there aren't major highways and where the weather is nice enough that sanding isn't practiced.
Geez, the more I read about all the flaws and problems with these cars, the more I wonder how they ever sell any. Subie mechanicals are problematic, RA and subie paint sucks. Interior is cheap and rattling. Poor factory tunes etc. Bad factory tires.
Paint and interior rattles are common amongst all automakers. Do a google search for example; 'why does my new car paint have rock chips'. You will see toyota, scion, mustang, etc subjects. Unless you have a Lexus, Audi, etc you will be hard pressed to find any mid size or entry level car that is rattle free. Some are better than others. The Lancer/EVO have the same glovebox rattle that my wife's Outlander does but I put felt tape in strategic places and it's gone now. Most of the factory tune issues with the EVO and STI are to do with conservative, rich tuning to err on the side of caution.
The life can be harsh you know.
