Look at how the torque peaks quickly than drops, that's a pretty good indicator of what the turbo is doing.

Well, another review , another time the ralliart gets owned!

Mitsu needs to make changes (obvious one´s)
Just as subaru did with the 09 wrx

Still, dont think it deserves last place, 5th place seems more likely.

Probably the worst part is when another competitor can kick your *** big time, ouch, thats gotta hurt. SO SORRY. And yet, as a whole has some very good stuff going on.

I picked up my copy yesterday and some of the numbers don't add up. The Ralliart only gets a 7 for amenities and features yet it's one of the most packed cars of the lot. It also gets brutalized on styling (both inside and out, losing both to the WRX). Meanwhile the WRX is the fastest in all four categories (0-30, 0-60, 0-100 and 1/4 time) yet it gets the same performance score as the GTI.

I discussed all the bias in the scores many pages back. WRX should clean up and be an easy #1. Ralliart should not be #7.

I also stated with the Road and Track test that gave it to the Cobalt. WRX won that comparo also. They fudge the numbers. A lot of it is just personal bias. If you just look at the numbers the only real compeititor is the Cobalt.

Here was my list.

1 WRX (sedan, to clear up confusion)
2 RA
3 SS
4 MS3 (hate wagons)
5 Clubman (too expensive)
6 SI
7 GTI (wagon and UGLY)

I personally think the RA is better outside but the WRX is better inside. The RA is too dark and black everywhere. IMO.

This is one reason I never bother with magazine reviews.

The only thing the reviews are good for is the performance numbers that most buyers are unable to obtain on their own. The rest is subjective. So I agree.

Did I ever mention magazine shootouts are typically crap? Lots of times you can draw a correlation between extravagant advertising (GM) to good product reviews in a given magazine.

If that was the case, I would expect them to be discussing tires and wheels all day, because every magazine I get now is full of MANY extravagant pages of tires and wheels.
