Actually, in limited quantities all cars are very expensive. Tooling and engineering is the same regardless of production run. Hand building is usually required also due to low volume. The way the market works, more demand would bring the cost down. Of course that assumes that Bugatti actually wants to make more and dilute the prestige. Same as Ferrari. Limited production...fewer cars to distribute the costs over equals much higher prices.

Yes but at the same time, some cars are simply expensive because of what they are.

True, materials are everything. I suspect an entire aluminum and composite car is very expensive just in terms of material. The interior in the VEYRON is awesome in its craftsmanship. Again hand done which to some extent limits mass production. There are only so many hand sewn dash and seat covers that can be made in a day especially if you want to keep quality up....and they do.

Well, no matter what kind of productions numbers they could run, I'm sure it's price would always be out of my league.

Has anyone used the Zchip yet? I have been waiting for a review and how it affects the MPG if at all, and just overall impressions.

The ZChip has been a final product for some time now. It is the same ZChip as the Evo X with different mapping.

TTP,

What does the z-chip plug in between? The mass airflow sensor, or the O2?

Doesn't the Z-chip plug into the OBDII port?

From the pics, It doesn't look like the connectors are for an OBD port.
