True statement No maintenance with Brembos...change the pad like any other vehicle.
I was looking into the RA. It was either RA or used IX. It was a pretty big choice actually. New car or used. But i found a bone stock IX MR for 27k with only 16k miles. But aside from that, I really wanted a manual and i knew the IX was a land rocket waiting for the right parts.
But for you RA guys a 4B11T is awesome...upgrade the turbo, fuel pump, tune and wham your on par with a X on a straight line. Just dont know enough about your transmission or its limits.

If you guys are considering everyday driving with good trunk space etc why not the sti or wrx 5door version?? the new wrx is too close on par to sti in terms of performance, styling etc with the new price drop, it should be a real deal! I have to admit it looks better than the RA but thats just me.

When i bought the evo, i never had the RA in mind as another option.. It was either the x, sti or something else.

If you could afford a M3 would you get a 328i?

If you mean BRAKES... then yes the pads cost more like 15 bucks more. I dont know thats a lot of cash ...the rotors are not that much more unless you get the two piece that come with the SE or MR. But the solution for that... buy rotors that wont wear out/ wear out very slowly.

the rotors and pads cost ALOT more. The difference is tremendous.

Rotors??? I have stockers im at 47k...no maintenance . Brake pads 250 for a full race set (well beyond stock). Oh btw you brake ALOT HARDER. If not braking well was your reason for your purchase...i dont even know what to say. Your argument makes absolutely no sense it boggles my mind.

I don't track my car, I don't race it, and I certainly don't rally it. I've also never hit the limits of performance for the car even in during extra-legal activities (I've come close though). So for me, the performance is adequate. I also like having my bikes, snowboards, golf clubs, plasma tv's INSIDE my car when I travel.

Coming from someone who was willing to pay 2 grand extra to get the fold down rear seats on a c300 4matic and is able to pay triple/quadruple payments (could've also paid cash but I need to build up credit), I can assure you, it's not the money. I suspect for some people, it is money. But there are also many people who choose it for reasons other than money. People can say whatever they want to feel like they can afford more...

I would say get the Evo X GSR

Not that the Ralliart is bad , but let just say that if you get an Evo X you can feel nice knowing you got the evo instead of the ralliart

In a heart beat, I would get the 328xi for DD and an atom for the track. Unless I wanted to show off how cool I was every day, then I would probably buy an M3. Also, it would be in a flashy or very subtle but in a cool kind of way color.

EDIT: Also, M3 if I didn't have the option of 2 cars and I really wanted a sporty car vs. something more practical.

I had a 328i before the ralliart, and it's more like if you can afford an M3 would you get a 335.
