Is Evo worth the $ difference over Ralliart?

It's natural to compare as they are both performance vehicles but offcourse for allmost 10k more brand new, the higher priced will have better performance.
If it's worth it, well that's a very relative question that most of us has asked ourself I'm sure and probably have different views on.
If you are entirely about performance then you choice will most likely be the Evo GSR, and not the MR and if you are not just about performance, well, then it's not as easy and alot more have to be taken into account.
And the 2008 evo X's have dropped about 25% in price used in two years so that's pretty normal?
It's in line with the used Ralliart's I've seen anyway.

Reasons I chose Ralliart over Evo:
-I wanted the TC-SST, so the difference in price was $32K vs $48K.
-I needed somewhere to put my snowboard to get to the hills. Fold down rear seat = big asset.
-Winter time means winter tires. Smaller brakes on the RA meant steelies were an option. The rim/tire combo was only $400 for the set. Would have been closer to $2000 for the Evo.
But obviously, this still means it isnt an Evo. So lets mod:
-x turbo and parts, $600
-coilovers: $1200
-rear sway: $200
-custom tune: $1000
-wider rims for wider tires: $1000
-steel braided lines: $150
------
$4150
So, total cost of the car, $36,150K, which is still $12K less than the Evo MR, and will perform just as well, if not a bit better.

And some new rotors and brakepads (Or big brake kit if you can afford). Don't forget about stopping power. The more late you need to brake, the faster you get to and around corners
And I bet if the Ralliart had a GSR equalent (manual) it would be more popular as the SST is not liked by everyone.

My reasons were very similar as well. A car that others can drive (SST); AWD for snow/non-maintained roads; cost and economy; storage... The list could go on and on, but at the end of the day, you still have a daily driver with more horsepower/torque, better handling, and a better power band than 99% of the cars on the road.
I have never been lucky enough to drive one but everything I have seen from professional drivers and auto writters and Top Gear hosts,(lol) tells me that if the EVO was double the price of the RA it would be worth every penny. Dont get me wrong I love my RA but an EVO, at the limit, really is a whole diffrent level.
I think the questions are more like these:
1- Do you change cars every 2-3 years? If so, buy a used Evo.
2- Do you track every weekend or 2? If so, buy an Evo.
3- Can you afford to replace the tires and brembo brakes? If so, buy an Evo.
4- If you prefer boost starting in the low RPMs... buy an RA.
5- If you want a TCSST tranny without having to pay an MR price... buy an RA.
6- If you want better MPG on the highway and cheaper insurance... buy an RA.
Im sold on the RA for myself come summer time. I track once in a while, and to me a solid set of summer tires outweigh any other mod dollar for dollar. I prefer low RPM boost, better fuel economy when taking road trips, cheaper insurance and LOVE sunroofs. It really comes down to what your needs/wants are. The Evo hands down is a better performance car... but the RA is the better street and DD car IMO.

My Evo actually gets about the same, if not a tiny bit better HWY mileage then my RA does.

The brembo vs RA brakes thing is a little exaggerated. The price for pads and rotors aren't really that huge of a difference.
#2 I agree with 100%
As for the brakes... i was just going by the cost at dealership for RA vs Evo brakes
