Request: Installing boost gauge

Im looking to buy a boost gauge and install it myself, just wondering if there is any write up or if someone could make one with pics, that would be great! Im also planning on putting the gauge in the middle above the radio, I saw that one evo had his wiring running into the A/C vent so if anyone could explain that, that would be great!

pillar pod would look tidier, Also look at an electric gauge rather than mechanical. There is a how to in the Evo section which is quite good.

I promise if you go to the advanced search box and search for "boost gauge" with the options on "title only" and the section set to "EvoX How-To / Installations" you will get at least 15 threads as a result.

Search is your friend

^Just used the link that speedie posted... firewall is a PITA, especially with the short wires that AEM provided. But here's how mine ended up:

as you can see... my wires are highly visible... super bootleg version. Got a annoyed at one point and said forget the cleanliness.

Credit goes to OMEGIS who helped with PM'd directions.

Good luck!

Not sure about the US versions but in Aus we have a grommet in the firewall in the corner behind the airbox, feeds out to above our fuse box. I have most of my wires going through it and the 0 gauge for the battery relocation

Amongst all the search results you will find ALL the methods of getting wires from the cabin into the engine bay.. choose the shortest route that is easiest for you. As for where you mount.... that's up to you... if there is no clear path to route wiring you will have to drill holes... simple as that.
