I have had my fair share of hiccups along the way.
I learn by doing. Yes, paying for things twice sucks, but I never make the same mistake twice!

Keep at it acree, you will have that monster running in no time. Can't wait for results! I'll prolly be running the same motor but on a hta35

The sad part is when acree is done it will prolly have cost him less even with all the mistakes and will be done in half the time your build is taking. AND have similar results on the dyno....

Acree will see my car as I will be in dallas once its done so i can check his whip out for sure and see it with my own eyes
doubt he pays less then im paying you have no ideal how much this is costing me you assume which is bad. I dont care about time I never was in a race to finish my build first nor do i care but mine will be deadly accurate and perfect with out fail which is the whole point not speed and completion date.

Car was taken to EvoDynamics tonight to get finished up. There are miscellaneous issues that need to be resolved, and frankly, I'm in over my head with zero spare time. The next month is crucial for my this semester. I decided to let the experts deal with it. I'm hoping it will be rolling out of the shop in about a week. I will post up once I get the tune finalized and get some VDR numbers.

Sorry for the delay. I've been in an Evo depression to say the least.
Headgasket blew for the second time about 4 weeks ago. It melted part of the head and scored the block. The engine is currently being pulled and fully disassembled at EvoD. The head is being rebuilt and the block is getting fully machined, decked, and reassembled with new bearings, etc. I am definitely fed up with doing the work myself.
They are adding a FPR since my Zeitronix was showing fuel pressure spikes up to 90 psi before the headgasket blew. I also picked up the English Racing custom 2.4L cams. A retune on 93 and E85 should net some really nice numbers. Needless to say, it's in KevinD's hands now.

hmmmm glad to hear a update on the whip so it would seem I was correct waay earlier in this thread and why i paid a shop to put mine together to avoid headaches and let them find all the bugs etc so its on there dime not mine. Sorry to hear about the headgasket issues. Any true reason to why it blew twice and man all the damage it cause this second time is unreal. Well hope to still see it together once i make it to dallas with the blue bomber
.
I'm simply trying to get everything fixed and get back in the car. I've made 10 payments so far, and was only able to drive the evo during 1 of them. It's been down for the other 9.

Unfortunately, there will never be definite proof as to why I had so many issues. I have my suspicions, but there's nothing to be gained by posting them here.
