It's alive! The car started up tonight around 10pm on a SD base map. I'm tired.

It's running and idling well. I've only put about 0.5 miles on it. I need to check it over tomorrow and throw the front bumper on. I have two tests this week and other stuff going on.

Glad to hear it's running! Did you crack your valve cover? I saw you're looking for a new one.

I did. It seems the adapter plate for the Kiggly HLA makes it sit up a millimeter or two higher. I tightened an inside bolt by the cam angle sensors and it cracked the valve cover. It's JB Welded for now, but I need to buy another one in the next week or so.

be careful with starting it up and turning it off right away. you should follow ams break in guide + mototuneus thats what I did this time and got way more power then before at lower boost levels. break in is crucial. If you warmed the car up and drove it like a baby you'll never get the most power out of your setup as you should.

I'm assuming your talking about these break-in procedures?

Did a compression test today after I blew a freeze plug out of the back of the block last night. The motor had 20.2 miles on it. I was doing a 50% throttle pull around 5500 rpm and it just popped.

The compression test came out from 1 to 4, as 120, 118, 142, 145. I believe I compromised the head gasket after taking the head off and reinstalling. I will be pulling the head, back off, checking the bore and deck height of the block, checking the flatness of the head, replacing the head gasket, and reinstalling everything. This car is becoming more of a pain in the @ss than I ever anticipated, but I guess that's the price you pay for doing most of it yourself for the first time. Live and learn.
