I'll actually be able to bring my own evo to the NTEC meet next week. First time in 12 meets.

i have seen a set of cam gears that had 2 holes in it & they were both the same offset! neither of them were right for the evo stamp mark.

They looked like fidenzas & they were bought on/off ebay. this was a while back.

just take a oem cam gear, lay it on top of or below the cam gear & verify.

line up the cogs & look through & verify the cam dowel hole & the bolt hole are lined up.

Last night we swapped out the hobb's switch, stock bov, and did a retune for 33psi.

The hobb's switch is an adjustable unit set to 10 psi. It's amazingly better now to drive around town. I no longer have to worry about injector shut off due to high pressure at low rpms. Merging on the highway is no longer a game requiring me to stare at the boost gauge.

The BOV has been a blessing and curse. I swapped the crushed stock IX BOV with the evo version Synapse BOV. Since port C has been deleted, I'm running with port A connected to the IM and port B VTA. (alphabet soup) On shifts and full throttle runs, the Synapse is incredibly crisp sounding and has zero issues holding boost. The issues come when under partial throttle. Say I'm in 5th gear at 3k rpm and dip into 30% throttle to build around 5psi. If I let off to around 20% throttle, and the boosts drops, if I want to maintain 2psi, I get back into the throttle slightly. When I do, the BOV starts to flutter and builds boost back up to 3-4 psi. It's makes the car surge forward and is slightly unnerving.

I'm heading to the dyno tomorrow afternoon, so check back for numbers and graphs! It will be done at Steve Kan's mustang dyno in Fort Worth with Kevin smoothing any remaining issues out with the tune (which I don't believe there are any, but a dyno readout will help).

And once again, the crew at Evolution Dynamics was beyond stellar, a very talented trio of guys.

I believe Kevin wants me out there around 3 or 4, but I will have to double check. If I don't update before then, 3 should work.

Acrees car runs great. the MAF is definately limiting at this power though. i couldn't adjust fuel at all above 6500 rpm. just runs very very rich and nothing made a difference. i've seen 3 other cars max out the maf on this dyno, all 3 right around the same power, 610-630whp, HP doesn't increase at all from 32psi up to 38psi (just torque).

we will be doing the speed density tune next, it will certainly pick up HP, i just personally don't think the SD cars drive as nice as a MAF car. we'll see what acree thinks

something sounds wrong there. you need to unlock the load limit and the fuel limit or the fuel will be uncontrollable. ive never seen the maf get stuck even with 800whp and 520~ load at redline.

it definitely should be on sd though for max gains.

haha your funny. show me a 800whp MAF car you do know that the physical limitations of that cross sectional area wont support 800whp (~950bhp).
