ok.. so why are you so against me all of the sudden? did you not want this to be public? if so sorry.. could have told me on google and i would have respected your privacy..

as you know from my experience.. i had spun a rod bearing before as well.. from the engine running on 1 1/2 quarts of oil.. i do all my own labor myself, but i did have to pay out of pocket a bit to get my car back up and running (almost $1800)..

so if evoD is going to do everything 100% free.. then that is pretty much unheard of these days.

This is why I am "against" you. You're response was just ridiculous. I didn't discuss anything with you regarding what actions Kevin was going to take, not a single thing. The only thing I told you was I spun a bearing, and it was probably because of the amount of torque the car was putting out. So for you to come on the forums and say crap like "give Acree his money back," it's just a dick thing to do. You didn't even let me update my own fking build thread! The one thing you need more than anything in this world is tact.

no problem. heres why i thought what i did regarding the ball joint issue;

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/8840300-post308.html - taken to EvoDynamics nov 16, 2010

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/9050627-post312.html - head blew again Feb 5, 2011

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/9062988-post315.html - ball joint comment by me Feb 9, 2011

this was all on the first engine.. before you had it rebuilt again.

as i said Acree.. i had no intention or plans to post in here really.. i was just cruising the forum and seen one of my customers posted in here asking about speed density since he was thinking about doing it on his own car.. so i updated the thread.. ill agree the comment was kind of off target, but it was only being based on the google talk conversation we had prior.

Look at the logs.. you kept saying you were going to sell the evo and get out of the game.. and then later on buy an Ariel atom.

again im impressed if they are fixing everything 100% no cost to you.. that is an extremely classly thing to do when it comes to performance parts. most places will not do that. then again under these circumstances its the only right thing to do.

but i know many places that would not do that.

Just because you posted about it doesn't mean it happened in February. It went to EvoD in November for them to fix the ball joint!

And again, in our conversation, I never said anything about what Kevin was going to do. And you bet I am seriously considering selling the car. Who wouldn't after all the crap I've gone through with this car?

None of this changes the nature and pointlessness of your original response. I hope you can understand why I defend Kevin so aggressively.

ok.. well now at least you know why i thought that to begin with. i just checked my email and you're right! so i really apologize for that one. Nov 14th is when the ball joint issue occurred and that is the same time the car was first introduced to evolution Dynamics.

sorry man for getting that information mangled.. i really apologize. heres the email direct so others have proof also;

The ball joint on the A frame came loose from the spindle. The car is
going to Kevin's shop. It will be a couple weeks probably.

================================

so you have decided to just put the car back to a somewhat stock but still lightly modified state and just enjoy it or are you going to sell it?

i think you should just keep it how it is and let them fix then run it on low boost.. about 22psi or so.. it will last forever then and still be quicker then most cars on the street.

based on everything acree told me.. i bet this failure was caused by the oem oil pan baffling not being good enough. he was making 590wtq almost on a mustang dyno and that is a ton of gforces and will hold the oil away from the pickup and most likely lowered the oil pressure so much that it ate into the bearings slowly over time.

kiggly hla + baffled oil pan = should be mandatory i think for now on for high tq evo's. from what he was telling me it sounded like his car would of been making atleast 600tq+ on a dynojet.

It depends on what Kevin is able to do. If he can find a stock Evo 8 or 9 short block, I will keep the car. If he can't and the 2.4L goes back in, I will sell it.

Either way, everything is coming off the car and being replaced with stock pieces. And I mean everything.
