it's like the thing that squirts water haahhha.. like for your windscreen.. but this is for the head lights... cause if u get dirt on the headlight... it refracts the light and can get into ppl's eyes.. and u know how blardy bright halogens are.. so that's why it is law here to have water squirters for the halogen lights.. if u look at e.g. honda legend... S2000, bmw's that have halogen.. the all have water squirters for the front head lights.

Aren't halogen lights like standard on all cars like commadore. These are normal not the HID right. And how was i supposed to know you were refering to water squriters?????

I dont think cops will have any idea hey!! they only look at commodores and HSV and whether the person driving it is young.

I don't think 'water squirters' are mandatory in NSW. My BMW had HIDs and it didn't have them.

btw,'Halogen' lights do not refer to 'HID's.

Some info, I was talking to my dealer today, actualy I was speaking with the New Car Stock Control Person (a woman) who was one of the people that went to the dealer test drive day at Eastern Creek Raceway, and she confirmed the following details.

Mitsubishi are NOT doing the power upgrade kit because of a issue between Rallyart and MMC.

Leather is going to be the only option availible.

No sports gauge cluster option either.

Sell price that they were told at the time $61990 + on roads (changes state to state) But will be confirmed at time of invoice from MMC.

She also said that she believes that all current stock will be alocated and invoiced to dealers before June 30.

Performance of new EVO

From Go Auto website

The new Euro III emissions-compliant engine, with flat torque curve between 3000 and 6000rpm, may offer more torque at lower revs and changes to the single-plate dry clutch make it quieter, but fact is it doesn’t match its predecessor’s performance. So Evo’s claimed 0-100km/h performance drops from high fives to 6.1 seconds – and its standing 400-metre figure blows out from low 14s to 14.5 seconds. Top speed remains a respectable 245km/h, while official combined fuel consumption is a frugal 10.9L/100km.
I can see a lot of modding going on otherwise the owners are going to be a little bit disappointed with this performance!

We used to own a Galant VR-4 and I was just thinking that the latter models weighed about 1470kg had similar dimensions to the Evolution VIII, a 5 speed gearbox, climate control air conditioning, and did a high 14sec 1/4 mile (I saw a 14.9 in Motor or Wheels). So by these measures the Evolution VIII isn't that much more advanced than the Galant VR-4. I am sure it will handle, brake, and grip, significantly better but I thought with over 10 years of development Australians should be able to expect a bit more.

I refuse to let the naysayers get me down - I know I will be more than happy with my Evo and that with a few mods very few cars on the road will compete with it.

Certainly not for less than 70K.
