A few articles are stating that the upgraded suspension pack takes some of the fun out of the car and makes it too firm- (feel to many bumps)! Not that there is anything wrong with firm.

I suppose it come down to how much they want for the pack!!

Dan I have heard Whiteline are developing some Group 4 coil overs for the EVO. That might be a go, but at about $4k they would be expensive, but certainly worth it.

I have some waiting to go on the WRX

I would imagine the upgrade kits from Mitsubishi would be terribly over-priced for what they are.
Yeah, John at WW told me about the WL coil-overs Maybe a prototype will be landing over here soon :P

Has your dad got any more news from the dealer about when the EVO and therefore the WRX arrives?

Firm, shcmirrim!

After having adjustable Konis in my Subi it takes no time to get used the firmness and therefore (hopefully) heaps better handling out of the car.

But, as mentioned above, it'll all come down to price.

The same article states that the tires are the Potenzas (gah) and we should get road-side assist with the car.

Also now remeber that the cars have a publicised price of $61,990 so stick to your guns guys.

Guys, i'm just contemplating the Pedders - i've always used Whiteline or Kings in the past, but Pedders have them available now, so I was going to go with them........ I am waiting for some info back from Kings on Monday, and the same with Eibach.

I don't really want coilovers - the car needs to maintain a near-factory ride comfort as my wife and kids will be riding in it too, and they are simply too expensive at 2K+ for even a reasonable set.

btw, I had adjustable Konis in my GSR many moons ago, and they were sweet, but that was a different era for me sadly.

Well put it this way, from what I have heard the Whitelines give as good, if not better, ride than the stock STi, which is supposed to be a bit more comfy than the EVO.

Yeah WRX with 2.5 litre, big **** off turbo, dog box, 19's, etc and no more bug eys

Sweet buddy.

I know where you are coming from. I suppose my point may be to wait a little while until the next time you are in town to get a proven and tested set the EVO. I don't want to see you spend any $$$ on something that may not provide you with your desires.

And yes, the KONIs are/were awesome. I hope that the new owner of my Evo4 WRX is enjoying them right now.

Let us know how it works out.

Hi guys,
For my own experience, i dun think DVG Wannaroo after-sales service is good. They were nice to u only before u buy the car. I dun think i'll go back to DVG Wannaroo again. But Paceway Mitsubishi after-sales services are good, the one located along Scarborough Beach Road.

Did you buy the Black Evo from there a few months ago?

I have had no probs with DVG, it's only they are further away than Skippers.

I have had only VERY BAD experiences with the Paceway sales people, all except the dealer principle who is/was very nice and has has great customer service.

Paceway do not have the allocation to sell EVOs, only DVG and Skippers do. Makes the choices easier.
