No im sure they don’t know there target market, but im sure every person purchasing this car knows what it is and what it is capable of!! Also everyone buying this car would now more about it than the dealer.
For the dealers this must be the easiest sell ever!!!!!

In some aspects this car has a monopoly on the market, though of course it does have one competitor! The STi

Thanks, I'll get him to call again tomorrow. He ordered white, no leather (actually when he put in the order they didn't know what options, if any, there would be but he doesn't want leather anyway).

I'm confirmed to get my yellow with leather next Friday. I'm then dropping in to get the windows tinted at Altapac Newcastle at 2pm (if anyone wants to have a squizz and is in Newie, feel free) and then driving home.

I've got lowered springs being fitted Saturday morning.

Lowered springs? - I am also looking into lowering the car, probably Eibach progressive rate springs approx $650 (not fitted).

May be worth looking at the UK lancer site for comments on those that have done it - seems to be a mix bag of whether or not it is a good idea. In particular a link to an article on the UK site re lowered springs is attached...

Like to know what you think - why Pedders?

G'day mate,

Welcome to the buyer's arena. As far as i know, your dad is no 1 in the Skipper's que, but as you said it all comes down to what they have available now.

So, do you get the WRXy at the same moment as the Evo lands in the house? Maybe we'll all be Skippers on the same day - fingers crossed.

mmmm, MOTEC figures on the Evo look very very nice...

Keep on Rocking...

Couldn't give a crap what others say - it's my car, i'll put lowered springs in if I want to. My last 2 cars just had lowered springs with the standard shocks, and worked just fine thanks very much.

Why Pedders? Dunno, maybe that they are available..... and pretty cheap.

Why would you put Pedder's on a $70k car?

Why not put on some Tein springs or something?

Not telling you how to suck egg's, but I think that would certainly be a better way to go.

Becasue as far as I know, Tein and the like only make coilover kits, for about 2K+!

I don't need something that special for what is only going to be a road car for me, thus a set of Kings/Pedders/Lovells lowered springs with the standard shocks will give me the lowered stance I want without turning the car into a jiggling mess, ala the 6.5

Any further comments?
