You're probably starting your pulls too high, the boost maps are designed to taper off as the RPM's increase; you should be seeing peak boost in the 3500-4000 RPM area.

ACN = AZ/CA/NV 91-octane ****; yes, it's worse than normal 91.

Unhappy COBB 2011 Stage 1 with CRAPPY GAS MILEAGE!!

Is it just me or there are some other having the same issue with the Cobb AP. I know when you make more power it results you worse gas mileage. However, when I had my STI it didn't change that much. Since the stock map is richer I thought Cobb Ap might have a positive effect.

Maybe it is because I only have 400 miles on the clock and have been running little aggressive and data logging might have caused that..

I averaged 12.3mpg with my last tank

What do you guys average with Stage 1 map?

Oh btw, I don't use gauges to calculate the MPG since it fluctuates and reset itself but rather fill up the tank and do the math.

I am driving relatively off the boost(since my last fill up) and couldn't see above 16 yet( on the gauge) but yeah I will calculate and report back for sure..wanted to see what others are getting with a granny-style driving ..

I wonder if the 20+mpg is possible with some 70mph cruise..
thanks for the input, btw

wow, that's awesome.. I wonder if the humidity and heat can affect the mileage that much( I live in FL) though..

I know that driving habits and a heavy foot can affect the mileage greatly and I didn't get this car for the fuel economy for sure but ..it would be nice to reach over 20+ mpg if I wanted to do so

I got the Injen intake kit with the UICP and yup the Tanabe is a CBE. I'm running the Injen COBB stage 1 because I asked COBB and they say to run the stage 1 with the CBE.

The Mapping is only LEANER in boost.
Cruise/light throttle = EXACTLY THE SAME AS STOCK AFR 14.7

If you want to MAXIMIZE mileage watch Load on your AP and stay UNDER 90

I get 23-25 @80mph and my "econo" map gets 29mpg IN town if you drive like a grandma

Your Mapping is made by ME soooooo, i blame the user's right foot.

If you care about gas mileage get a lighter right foot, simple as that. Even though it's tuned leaner in boost, boost has been raised so you're actually burning more gas to compensate for the additional airflow.

very interesting because as I read the map notes(for stage 1 93 octane map) I see that they clearly stated:

"
Description: Stage1 93 v107 - Intended for an otherwise stock
2008/2010 Mitsubishi EVO X GSR & MR/MRT and the 2009 Mitsubishi EVO
X World Market vehicle with a stock or cat-back exhaust, STOCK
INTAKE SYSTEM, and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY
. 93 or 94 octane fuel.
Boost Targets: ~24psi peak boost pressure tapering down to ~17psi
by the 7500 RPM redline, +/- 0.8psi.
Hardware Requirements: Otherwise stock vehicle with a STOCK INTAKE
SYSTEM and STOCK INTAKE FILTER ONLY
. The addition of any other
hardware may make the vehicle perform poorly.
"

Note what I underlined. Punk3r also stated he is running the Stage 1 OTS map designed for the Injen intake (he does not have a 2011).

oh HAI thanks for the reply ,

don't get me wrong mileage is not really my main concern since I pursuit the performance as you may guess.

I just want to see what kind of gas mileage is attainable with a careful driving,

You said you are getting 23-25 @ 80mph , that's just amazing with a car putting 560whp

. or is it before the mods ?

thanks in advance
