Cobb AP for 2011 Evo X?
wow, guys I am speechless I have No speech
thanks for some serious lulz
and explaining what the word "beta" stands for..ok back to topic
Apparently, there is a reason why they call it a "beta"..but...getting a Cobb AP and having a custom tune is not the answer I was looking for since I have little to no trust in getting tuned from some random tuner(unless of course the guy is a reputable tuner and exactly knows what his doing)... Even so I still have a right to ask the guys about the the updates and ask them about the ETA ( Baka already answer that, he said that's a company policy I can understand that ).. you may call it complaining/whining , I call it "a right to know"..I love running their OTS maps, specifically Stage 2 maps and that's the reason why I choose them and pay the premium while I could get an open source tune at the same expense , so I deserve some customer feedback I guess? No?
just think about it , if I didn't believe their quality and their stuff I wouldn't be there asking questions, posting on the COBB forums in the first place ;].. this my third AP and also owned some other goodies from COBB, as I said earlier) but that's also another story ,.. I was just wondering why it took this long and Baka already answered that too. He said they were having software issues . That's all I wanted to hear..
When you get the "Beta" version in July and don't hear anything about the "real" version including real "stage 1" , "stage 2" , intake maps and other maps and whatnot .. you automatically start asking questions here and there, and there is nothing wrong with that in my opinion..When was the last time you saw that a Stage 2 map released by Cobb a year after you purchase your car? Isn't that something question-worthy? sigh..
Thank you bai bai, lol

seriously the cobb ots maps are just whatever (no offense jon) but he makes them safe for all elevation qualities of fuels ECT ECT
running a "stage 2" car on a ots map should just be a stepping stone until you get a custom tune.
you all should just be lucky that cobb has spoiled you with OTS maps for 600$ like go buy any other tuning solution for any other car and realize there $800+ and have no base maps to work off of.

I am showing knock as high as 4 counts on my logs. Should I be concerned? Also I am running the stage 1 93 map which is supposed to be 26-27 peak boost and I'm only seeing 22 tops. The only modifications I have are a cat back exhaust and test pipe. I wasn't sure if that might be the reason I'm not seeing these numbers?
wow really?
I posted a Stage 1 map on a Stage 2 car, Ive said you can use the stage 1 map on stage 2 cars for now, but you still complain.
I will be making maps for the 2011 Cars. The primary reason for delays has been software and not mapping. I have a selection of maps that i will create once the software is where i want it o be for releasing maps. ETA? We don't do ETA's sorry. Ill do my best to have maps done asap.
Please realize that I also Co-manage the Socal Facility and do all the tuning of the cars there too.
I know people want 2011 stage 2 maps but MY mapping for them is different than 2008-10 so i cant just copy it over. I did not make 2008-10 and I dont use those maps at all.

hi Jon,
please dont' forget a lot of us have 2011 MR and also waiting for stage 2 map.

thx
I realize that most of you guys know nothing about tuning a car. That is why i try to explain things as best as i can here. Stage 2 cars vary so widely because of the parts people use that trying to make 40 maps for each selected mod is impossible. Im not sure how many times i need to say it but stage 2 maps are usually just stage 1 mapping with the boost/load targets adjusted for the new parts. Thats it .... If you have a panel filter and a cat back its fine
if you have a testpipe and cat back its probably fine too. If you have a FMIC,TP,CBE,BOV, XYZ,LMNOP, and a DOG you will need a custom tune anyway so even a stage 2 map wont help you.
We are gathering parts to bang out some stage 2 mapping soon. I have to get my test cars in and booked around our normal tunes to make the Stage 2 Mapping, that takes time.
I can tell you this Stage 2 maps will be for a few select intakes, a couple of panel filters, catted and catless Testpipes and ONE type of bov (synapse DV) thats it.

The odds of that are slim to none now based upon injector failure rates and mis matched installs
