Cobb AP for 2011 Evo X?
hi
Hello
Well switched to the stage 2 93 oct and every thing is running pretty good 1 count knock here and there maby a 4 once and a while.
Seem like all the stage 1 maps show knock like crazy and the lower stage 2 maps.
But boost still maxing at 27psi even with the new stock boost line and pill.
Will there be any WLG maps released for stage 1 and stage 2?

also you do realize the stage 2 maps are essentially stage 1 maps with different load targets right?
there is no reason to release LWG if you hit 27 psi that is fine
What should I do? I use 92 octane Chevron here, and use Stage 2 Cosworth 91 map. Do you have LWG versions of the stage 2 map? Since I have the air filter as well, I didn't want to switch back to the regular Stage 1 (stock intake) map, and I guess ACN map would be too tame? I guess all I need is lower wastegate duties..
Oh well, I just tried WOT on 3rd gear on the highway from 4K RPM today, and soon after I started, I had that nasty boost cut (the one that makes you feel like you just hit a wall).

That's what I am using.. The ambient temp was 47 degrees Fahrenheit, which is what I think has caused the overboost. Regardless, it needs to be less aggressive on boost targets for sure.
It's good that we're finding this out now, so the 2011 COBB support is released, the maps would either not have this issue, or at least have an LWG version

Hi. I am running stage 1 93 oct map. While there is obviously more power, and the car feels more responsive, I noticed that the rpm would increase randomly up to 2200 while in neutral at idle. It goes up, stays up for a few sec than drops back to 8-900 rpm. It does it when engine is hot or cold. Fuel mileage dropped also, I can't get over 16 mpg even when I drive like a granny. Freeway cruise at 65 mph gets me arrownd 18 mpg.
What is wrong? Car has 3300 miles on it. I use Costco premium fuel.

You guys really need to relax a bit.
1-2-3 knock counts are super common on stock ish cars
a 3 count is only 1.05 degress of retard (thats not a big deal)
a 4-6 is up to 2 degrees of retard ( 6 = 2 degrees ) also not a HUGE deal
the STOCK tunes can pull 10-15 counts, so all you guys running around stock are probably knocking like mad and have no idea. So even with a 1-6 count you are still safer than stock.
That being said if you run a map that is TOO rich you will knock as well
If there is a map that matches your mods (ACTUAL MODS not just "oh its a panel filter they are all the same") then the ACN91 should be the richest with the least amount of timing. If that knocks (over 4-6) Try the 91 map the leaner mixture may help.
If you are still seeing excessive knock (over 4-6) CHECK YOUR RELAY and REPLACE IT
I dont care if its BLUE REPLACE IT!!
if you relay is BLACK or GREEN REPLACE IT
this has been a PSA by jon
hug your mamma today ok?

the relay is in your relay box underneath your hood. it is to the right of the intake box. the part number you need is 8627A024. get it from mitsubishi parts department. search fuel pump relay in this forum and you should find the thread and picture on which exact relay to replace.
yo
Ok for your fuel pump relay question check out this link https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ay-1-test.html
and if you get as new one get the blue one as sold on AMS performance I did it big diffrence a lot of my knock went away and idel went back to normal.
I had a question if I took off my UCIP and the Cobb turbo inlet tube and put the stocks back on would that get rid of the faint 1 to 2 knock I see.
With stage 1 or 2 tune would these items with a 3in catback affect the tune even a little?
OR would I be better of with the stock UCIP and Turbo inlet tube with my catback on these maps?

For some reason, the link doesn't work for me, though..

I will try Cosworth Stage 2 91 LWG right away
It's 50 degrees out, so it should be good for testing..
