I am the originator of the post. I want to stand up again for Rraulston and his car running a 12.3@117 or 12.4@118 ( I don't remember well)

The bottom line is that I believe it was his first time at the track, SIR(Tucson ) is already a very bad track(heat, altitude and track not pre'd most of the times)
Ray's car(Rraulston) has tires that are worn out, his clutch is still stock I belive.

I think he ran fantastic considering that the only STI running there was running high 14's to mid 15's . Remember he got the third fastest time of the night, the other two fastest were a Twin Turbo Corvette and a Turbo Mustang wich runs huges amounts of NOS

my .50c

good thread, I don't doubt he ran the times he says but he is leaving out some details like with the race gas and NL shifting...

Your friend will eventually get it. I know that setup has 11.5s all day. Good luck. Thanks for the few of you that believe me. I lift about 25-50% of the way when I shift just not all the way. Works very well and I dont side step the clutch I just drop it out very fast. Ive been racing all my cars this way for years and has never given me a problem. People have been amazed at how well my clutches have held up with the amount of racing I do. Its been like this with my last three cars. i ran a 14.2 in a bone stock integra type r and a 13.2 in my srt stock. People always hate because they cant duplicate.

low 12's with an exhaust and safc is a total joke here in so cal. His car would run mid 13's all day with 1.7-8 60ft. URghhhhh!!! I guess All his car will need to get in the 11's is a boost controller and in to the 10's with some race gas. What a bunch of BS.

I believe him, maybe he is just a great driver, and plus he is running these times at high altitude, so yeah I believe he could run even faster in southern california (Fontana)

Its the truth I cant help it. I think its possible at sealevel with good conditions to run 12.1 with this car. I have a dejon tool boost controller sitting in my toolbox also waiting to be installed. Maybe even an 11.9 with more boost. Sorry to burst everyones bubble but this is the times the car is running. Im thinking fuel pump and injectors next. My friend trapped 113@12.3 with exhaust, safc, fuel pump, and 680cc injectors and race gas. His 60s were not quite as good as mine. Three different times at the track. So i know its not just me running these times. 11s soon haters.

To the people that believe me thanks, Im proud of these times for the mods.

Quote: Those times are pathetic. im sorry but at 2700ft with just exhaust and safc i ran 12.3@111
This is also my first awd car and Im still learning. That car on the bottle should have went 11.5 all day long. I know its hard to drive a car with alot of power but there is a point where no matter what the car has to go fast because it just has that much power. I would be imbarrassed to post those times.
Um dude we live in arizona where its freaking 110 right now! Low 12's at elevation with that kind of temp is good. I mean the lows at night are in the mid 80's. I saw yesterday that there was a low in Idaho of 22. I've ran several times at the various tracks in Arizona and as a rule I think they are much slower than tracks in other parts of the country. I think the track you are running on must be at a 10% downhill grade.

Whatever man, you don't just create HP out of thin air (yes, that was a pun). Your elevation causes thinner air, and you are on stock boost with stock boost taper. To run 114mph at sea level, you'd have to be around 350whp. You did not just magically create +100whp with the s-afc, 110oct, and full exhaust. Driving is one thing...that can lower your ET, but mph comes from HP, and you can't create that with your foot. As I've said before, you ran the same mph as the rest of us with 05s, so your car is normal. Then to claim that your supertrack is SLOWER than everywhere else is absurd. The MOST likely thing is that the times are automatically adjusted for altitude. You're on crack if you think your super low ET and super high mph are being held back by a crappy track. It appears that the track is GIVING you absurd times due to some unknown factor that isn't being shared. Gimme a break, man, really. It's not like the rest of the world suffers from high altitude, but somehow your track doesn't, haha.
