as said b4 cobras are not over rated at all. they are extremely fast as advertised. they are faster then our cars. i bought her b/c it was the fastest awd car i could afford. if i wanted a drag king i would have gotten a cobra hands down.

and camaros suck, i spank them all day on the highway even starting at 80. same goes for srts and firehawks.
I am not saying his(MAME Slaughter) car should have done anything close to what I was talking about. I think the slip is BS personally. I was comparing his 1/8th mph to modified EVO's I have raced locally. I don't see a basically stock EVO running 85 at the 1/8th.

As far as you only being able to afford an EVO, I am sorry to hear that.

Unfortunately, higher HP cars require some skill to get down the 1320. And to think many road race people think drag racing doesn't involve skill.

i had an 04 srt-4 w/s2 w/toys and i beat an 04 cobra once. i ran a 13.0 and it ran a 13.2 but......... a chick was driving it, lol. here boyfriend then jumped in it and ran a 12.8 and i once again ran a 13.0. it was stock and my point is.........definately the driver. that car is no joke and i'd definately love to have one in my driveway.

warr-i didn't dispute the slip was fake or real nor i was not arguing whether the slip was fake or not. i was arguing he was claiming it was the driver when the trap was 103, but if something was wrong with the evo (which at the time was up in the air), and it should have hit 108ish, then it wasn't the driver. that was my point. and he implied the slip was fake and was thinking that for sure. as he mentioned, he already knew the answer to his "question" from personal experience and he was skeptical the whole thread. then later mentions 85 is not normal in general. so it really wasn't what he asked at all, he was just looking for some more proof from the horse's mouth to go with his notion this slip is bs. once he got it from you he took the stance that he thought it was bs. and in his next post he is using it as a method for disproving the timeslip.

this is all mute anyways b/c the evo was modded and the cobra was stock but....if he hit 85 in the 1/8th he should of hit 108 in the 1/4, is exactly what you are saying. in fact it is your evidence this slip is fake. if he did hit 108 there would be no question the evo has more, you assume the cobra's ets were too low based off of mph, but you won't assume the mph was too low on the evo based on the 1/8th. if the slip is bs that is a different story. if its true the evo shifted bad and so did the cobra.

read much? the fastest awd car i could afford. new too. not car in general, i could afford a little more, not much, but a little. certianly can't get an audi though. im not too upset i could only afford a 26k car even if I am 21 and go to school at night after my full time job. fortunately my sucess in life is measured in different ways, but if you want to measure it in cars, i think i have the edge.

speaking of condolences, i will have to send mine. i don't have to say why, we all know. see you in the mirror.
Naperville, I don't know what all this crap is about. YOu touched on one point, which had nothing to do with this whole argument when you mentioned the 85 vs 103mph thing. AT that point in time, all this guy asked was if it was normal for Evos to only pick up 18mph in the back half. I confirmed that it is NOT normal for a modded OR stock Evo, which meant something was definitely wrong with this guy's Evo. We weren't using it as a method for disproving the timeslip. Since then, some other things may have been said to confuse the issue, but the whole point was that it makes no sense for his 04 w/TBE to hit 85mph in the 1/8th then only 103 in the 1/4. My stock 05 only hit 80mph in the 1/8th, but then 104 in the 1/4, so something doesn't add up with this timeslip...

I choose to live in reality whether you want to see it or live in it yourself or not. His car has an exhaust which isn't really all that modified in my book. The reason why I am calling BS on the slip is because his mph's don't add up. Like I said 85 at the 1/8th should easily be good for 108+. Once again for you, 85 at the 1/8th in a exhaust only EVO is very unlikely.

Whether the car is AWD/FWD/RWD is irrelevant, it is simply that it was all you could afford. I would have never said **** about this if you hadn't brought it up. And no you aren't superior when comparing cars currently owned and previously owned.

I wasn't speaking about condolenses at all............................

Like I said in my previous post, my stock 03' Cobra trapped 89.6 mph in the 1/8th when I had it. My EVO trapped 81 mph with a intake and cat back on it. I don't think the guy could drive persoanlly and was falling asleep between shifts.

Here's the timeslip from the Cobra guy: http://img362.imageshack.us/img362/1856/vsevo9pz.jpg

Looks like this liar has been HOSED. I hope this guy gets banned for making up something so stupid to inflate his E-Peen.

One car number is the same, and the other isn't. It seems he posted a timeslip of his Evo racing another car to make it look like he won. What's the point?

I agree that slip was doctored." Cobras are overated", has to be an attempt to stir up a flame war. It worked. Later Jay.

He's been PROVEN wrong now, so I think all flames should now be directly squarely at him.

Welcome kingcobra!
I like cobra's as well. A sort of friend has an 03 cobra down the street from me ran multiple 12.6's bone stock and still had more in it. I aggree with what your saying, people go to the track and see an inexperienced driver in a fast car and blame it on the car. I go to the track often and see evo's stock or slightly modded run high 14's or even 15's in a few cases hey, i know it's not the car!
