Hey, Mame Slaughter, you didn't by chance attend the World Cup Imports vs Domestics Shootout at MIR a few weeks in your yellow Evo while wearing a wife beater and yelling at chicks in the stands to come have a beer with you? You sound kinda like that guy...near the end, you parked across from our row of 7 Evos from the DC Evo Club that were all racing. Ring a bell?
What did this guy look like?

Is it typical for an EVO with his mods to only pick up 18 mph from 1/8 to 1/4?

The faster the speed, the more AWD kills power unfortunately.

That didn't answer my question.

I'd say it's typical... I've practically stock so 18-20 mph sounds about right to me.

Thanks for pointing that out. You'd think I'd notice a typo like that, lol

It's fixed and the slip is up

I'd say it isn't typical but maybe someone else has some info.

No, it's not typical. Actually, it indicates a significant problem somewhere. He should pick up 22-24mph typically, but one other thing is that his 1/8th-mile mph was higher than it should be, so it could have to do with his shift points. He may have shifted to 4th too early or too late, depending, but the only time we pick up less than 20mph in the back half is if we are knocking heavily or if there is a big boost leak. In stock form, I picked up 24mph, but nowadays I pick up 21-23 due to dying out on the top end without cams...
