On the stock rear? If so, either you run high 11's on borrowed time or you run low 12's slip sliding all the way down the 1/4 depending on what tire you're running.

here is the link to RiGGer's post....notice that Mame's car number is also in both slips...

So either he beat a slow cobra that could not drive, a modded N/A cobra, or he is lying...

Sorry if this is a repost.
His time slip is fake as hell... Look! It says RIGHT first. The numbers after the RIGHT first don't even look right. The 7 is all screwed up. How can ANY of you believe THAT time slip and call MINE fake? What the hell?!

Btw, I did notice the fact it said "Right 1st" when the left car supposedly won. I didn't say anything, because the number next to it was exactly the difference between the 2 cars when adding together the ETs with R/Ts. What I DIDN'T notice before was how fake that "7" looks until you just mentioned it.

On my screen the 1/8 mile time, 1000ft time, and 1/4 mile times look altered.

And now that I have my CSI glasses on, the "1" in the 1/8th time, and also the "0" in the 1000 time look very fake!

well said.. making the evo go as fast in a straight for the same amount of money is damn near in possible.. but in the same regard it would cost alot of money to make a cobra out handle and out grip the evo in turns, I wish I could have a cobra for highway pulls and that sorta thing, its hard to really unleash what the evo is capable of unless your at autox or on a race track.. youll never really learn to appreciate what the car is capable of unless your in an on the edge situation which is where its at its best. Its all about where the the money goes into the car... which in the cobras case is clearly the engine, where with the evo they balanced the cost of the car amongst all perfoamance aspects... brakes definately come to mind as a major difference and slowing down in an evo with some slightly modded braking systems can be awesome.. its a not all about accelerating fast.

Without any special weight reduction (remove spare, lighter exhaust), my MR is 3400 with me in it with a 1/4-tank, and I weigh 215-220. The stock Evo weight varies from 3100 (RS) to 3300 (GSR w/SSL).

I missed that part. Now what kinda rear do you have besides a live axle? What gear, carrier, axles, etc,.

LOL! Cobras are at the top of the food chain when it comes to fast for cheap and Evos are probably the next best option. Saying that a Cobra is overated based off of one victory is absurd and idiotic. Both cars rule the streets/tracks/strips etc and both are relatively fast for street cars.

Why is everyone nut swinging on the Cobra's? What's next? People are going to start talking about how great Mach 1's and LS1's are?

It's not so much folks here are some kind of Cobra fan club as just a Reality Club. I mean pretty much everyone knows that Cobras are ****ing fast cars, and -if anything- they may be underrated by the Import Community as a whole... Most guys on here are Car Guys before Evo Guys, and true Car Guys respect fast cars, especially ones that can be made fast for less $, which both the Cobra and Evo are...
