Thanks man, so what is your recommendation on the lowest rpm you try to keep the rev's above on a 6400 rpm shift? If I had an rpm to try and stay above, it'd be easier to check my logs and see if I was letting the clutch out a bit more aggressively than I should be.

I am reading your post and am confused. Shift points should be around 7200 1-2-3 and fourth you run out and dont shift to 5th. I leave the line at 6400 and the rpms drop slightly but shoot towards 7200 quickly. Thats why the 1-2 is the most difficult. Basically before the clutch is all the way out it, it goes back in I dont know what the lowest is you'll see in rpms but it isn't much lower than the 6400. I try to make it so it never drops or drops minimally.

That's what I was asking. I just wondered if you allowed RPM's to dip below the 2-step rpm while the clutch started grabbing, or if you featered the clutch to keep the RPM's from dipping at all. Thanks.

Lots of good information in this thread! I was launching at 5500RPMs and I couldn't get better than a 1.8x. This is on very cheap Nexen tires.

Most wanted thanks for the advice. I raised my 2 step up from 5800 to 6k and lowered my tire psi to 20psi from 32-35 area and made 2 passes down the track with this and both 60ft times were 1.5s. Before those 2 passes I left the tire psi at the 30s and got a 1.8 60ft. Lower tire psi helps a lot. I was hoping to break into the 11s but only managed a 12.1 and a 12.2 both at 113mph. Im going back Oct 2nd with some more improvements to the car. It was 75 with about 40 percent humidity

what rpm are you shifting at? I also ran 12.1 @ 113-114mph with a 1.77 60ft 2 step at 5500rpm building 5-7psi

380whp should net you a slightly higher MPH too, closer to 115 MPH. Keep at it, you can get an 11 second pass with the power you've got!

Too bad you stopped pulling so soon, she's good 'til 7500rpm at least. Most Wanted generally suggests shifting at around 7200rpm from 1-2 and 7400 for the rest I believe.

So you would want to shift before the power starts to fall?

Gotcha. I'll try these stradegy at island dragway on the 16th for test and tune. I'll update you guys on how it turns out.
