Same. All Buschur supporting mods and just hang tight with the 8 turbo. You can always swap out for a IX turbo or a RED, etc. If I were to do this all over again I would do it the same way and run a Forced Performance RED. That would be a perfect daily driver...

I should probably ask this in the tuning section, but I thought maybe I'd try here first. Whats a Safe A/F to tune to with a stock bottom end/head on e85? I wont be doing the tuning, but i'd like to get a number so I can tell my tuner.

Your tuner will tune to what he thinks is safe for mods, etc. I personally like to stay below 12 A/F for my race car, but if its a daily most like to stay around 11.0-11.5. Its a tuners preference. There are also so many variables like is it a daily driver, etc.

Here is another vid to show that with the right parts combination mid 11's are easy. The plugs were bad and the car still went 11.50... No drag radials or anything tricky. This was when I first bought my RS. The mod path was the same. I, E, ECU flash.

good deal. what were the mods you had in the videos?

i'm looking to go 11's @114+ on 93 oct with i/e/ mbc/ and a tune... still on the stock clutch with 37k on it.

i can get the car to come outta the hole pretty good as i ran a 13.1 back to back in my ix rs.

so i think i won't have an issue going 11's... if the clutch holds

What tire pressure would you use if you had star spec 255's on SE bbs's?

I would say nothing below 20 psi since you have a stiff sidewall. On my 255 Bridgestone Potenza RE01R's anything below 25 psi actually gave me worse traction out of the hole. If you can, try to switch to a tire with a softer sidewall for the track. This is all based on my opinions and my experience...

Exactly. I run deep into the 11's and DD my car with my mods in my sig. Only problem is waiting for the car to warm up on cold starts lol. It's damn near impossible to drive my car when it's not at operating temp.

Again I'm not a tuner, just a driver. As for the 1-2 shift. Yes it comes in a blink and feels like I dont even get the clutch out before going right back in. I actually need to get in there a little faster from watching my vids. But damn it comes fast And my two step is set at 7 or 7200 right now?? If there is sufficient water you dont need to rev it to 8k to get em going. This is where a pit crew comes in handy

So basicly you are doing a rolling burn out like a funny car or top fuel car would right?
1.Roll through the water box slow
2 .Once you are somewhat through punch the gas.
Is this right? It's almost like when it is raining and you punch the gas. You will know if you get tire spin if you watch your RPM go up and your not going any where. Could you give us a step by step? Thank You Jedi Master!!

Most-Wanted are the springs an integral part of running quick times. I have noticed that most people seem to have either coil overs or at least springs will having springs greatly help out the launch?

FL_SilverEvo8- You could, but thats not how I do it. I recommend coming to a stop just outside the water box after you have run through it. Once ready and given the go ahead, just load the car with pressure by releasing the clutch slightly until you feel the car edging forward. Once I feel that I bounce the rpms up and down to about 5500 or so and let the clutch go on the upstroke. Just dont dump the clutch, bad things happen when you do that Also try to stay out of the rev limiter and keep it a solid smooth high rpm. The trick is to get the tires warm but not to wrinkle them. If you heat them too much they will get greasy also. You also dont want to feel them grab per say. You want to let off before they grip. If they grab they will wrinkle on the surface. It doesnt hurt anything, but just means the tire wont be in optimal shape for your best 60'. Once you've done it for awhile and get comfortable you will be able to feel everything out.

mt057- Yeah, it seems as though having springs at the least do help out tremendously. I've only just recently gone to coilovers. If you are on a budget stick with just springs. I managed high 1.5 60's on 18" Falken Azeni RT615's tires. The car was near full weight. This was on the blue car mentioned earlier. If you can swing it, I highly recommend coil overs for the weight alone. The weight savings is huge. And they of course work great at the track. The latest and greatest for drag racing is the D2's that AWD have. I am on Apexi's and they seem to work fine, but if I was buying another set it would be the D2's and they are very reasonable.
