You just really need to choose your words better. Again "conjoined twins" was not necessicary, obviously you knew that when you started to say not flaming. Kinda like when you mom said, "think before you talk" meaning dont say everything you may be thinking.

. Al is a vendor selling his product to the public. I asked a basic question, and it was turned in to a broadway specticle for no reason. Face it I dislike Al he feels the same about me. But the question has nothing to do with bashing anyone, It was just a question and nothing more.
its not the question, its the way you ask it. You missed the point.
If you know you both dont like eachother its more reason to ask it in a manner which you would have no negative intents.

I'm trying to help you from falling on your face in about a month when someone will run out of alky on a track and blame you. Try to remember that when someone posts on here a subject to the effect of "Dynoflash Alky injection blew up my motor!"
For once, take some advice from someone who's been there, done that.

I've seen the kit, it's a simple hobbs switch, a reservoir, some lines, a nozzle and a pump.
The end users will decide if they can handle glancing at a control unit every so often to monitor the lights or if that is not something which is suited to them. I would think that 99.99% of my customers are doing track days in which there is no half hour long racing going on. Those that are may wish to consider other alternatives.
On average, open lapping driver's education days range from minimum 20 minute sessions up to 45 minutes. This is standard for BMW CCA, Audi Car Club North America, SCDA, Phoenix CMR, Tracquest, etc. Racing varies from time trials to full fledged enduros, but I do not race my Evo, just DE's for now.
My car is prob twice as fast as yours and yet I have no problems keeping any eye on my knock link, a/f and the alcohol warning light.
That's because you only drive your car in a straight line. Hell, I could probably type this post if all I had to worry about was keeping the wheel straight and my foot to the floor
With 667 whp - drivng on public roads which are slippery - its certainly not easy to0 keep an eye on the gauges - but its required.
Of course it is. Driving on public roads is easy. Let's see how you do in a real driver's environment.
ANYONE who drives a car racing without watching his / her oil pressure, EGT and other vital functions is an idiot - alcohol or no alcohol.
That's what I have flashing warning lights for. If all you do on a track is watch your pretty little Defi WallClocks, you'll probably end up at best in the grass and at worst, in the wall. Talk to any real race driver, they'll tell you that they only check their temps on the long straights (least driving involved here) because they're too busy elsewhere.
Your dire warnings non withstanding - these units have been used on Buicks for nearly a decade now with no issues like the ones you are describing.
Show me a Buick road course car that runs this system with a 1 gallon capacity and no surge tank for 30 minutes on a long track and I'll concede. Until then, I will warn the road racing demographic about what kind of a misleading product you are selling. That is, unless you're willing to put your money where your mouth is and put a guarantee on the motor while running your alky system and toon.

After all, the guy who is working on this kit with me - David Buschur - is hardlty a newbie and the guy who actually designs and builds the kit has been doing it for 10 years on Turbo Buicks without issues.
Anyone who reads my section of the forums will remember that in my intial post about alcohol injection I issues serious CAUTIONS and warnings about the nature of tuning with Alcohol. For those who can not remember of who did not read it the first time - re-read this https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=120030&page=1.
I want to specifically state this ONE more time - and then I would appreciate it if you would leave my forums as your commentary here is not welcome.
ANYONE WHO INTENDS TO RUN THE ALCOHOL KIT MUST - re read MUST - KEEP AN OCCASISONAL EYE ON THE LOW LEVEL INDICATOR AND SPRAY LIGHT TO VERIFY THAT YOUR ALOCOHOL LEVEL IS NOT LOW
Anyone stupid enough to run the car out of alcohol on a road racing track and ignore the warning light would hardly have me to blame for his / her situation.
Finally - the way I tune 90% of the evos on alcohol - they will NOT BLOW up if the alcohol fails. This has been tested.
http://www.staginglight.com/editorials/bw1.html Just curious. BTW he was burning Methanol with a lil hint on nitro.
If you could hook up a buzzer or something that would beep when the low warning light came on that would help alot......I think the light comes on with 1/3rd of the alcky left in the tank....Seems like that would be enough to get to the pits/side of the road with.....Especially if you slowed down.....

If the alky runs low, then take your foot out of it. Once you are off boost the alky kit is out of the picture.
Then it won't matter how far you are from the pits/nearest Home Depot - you'll get there without incident.
A few simple things I am going to do for the first track day in April.
1. Run 100oct unleaded so I can have the alky hit later and have a larger margine of error should I runout of alky. I would prefer the 100oct over any leaded b/c our upstream O2 sensor is $250. I am only running 27psi so the motor should be fine for a few seconds on only 100oct.
2. Extend the red and yellow warning lights up to leds placed in the instrument cluster near the tack.
My thought are this: If you a RACING and that last bit of power is really worth it then go for it, but if something should fail beaware that YOU made the choice to run it! I would say until someone goes to the track and can document how much is being used we are all just guessing, and even then you are still guessing b/c the variables of the track style (how ling your into high boost) and how your controller flow rates are set.
Judging from how much I have used I don't think it would last a full 30 mins if your heavy into boost on 94oct, 100oct might be in good shape.

Definatly agree... I'm waiting to see how people like it on the track before I jump in to finding some money to get it since I will be doing some track events. If it goes well on the track, then I'll think if investing in it. Until now its just all speculation, I think we need to just see people who have it give it a run and see how it lasts.
nice video btw! Try and make a longer one with 1st 2nd 3rd gear.
When are you going to the track to test it out? (anyone who's planning on testing it at the track that is)
